Glad to see that I'm not the only one who watched this as a child. I must have been about nine when it was first shown and luckily for me, my parents allowed me to stay up to watch it. I found the show so exciting and glamorous - from the music, to the different locations. Madolyn Smith was stunning and I thought that Tom Berenger was gorgeous. Tracey Whitney is so brave and gutsy and I was rooting for her to have the happy ending she deserved. I still think this was one of the best mini series of the 80s and one of the best mini series ever.
Linda Evans And John Forsythe Are coming down big long stairs C'mon Brian you know this And we're all rich And we're in Our late 50s And we hate Joan Collins Babababa dadada Babababa dadada This is the middle trumpet part And it was a pretty big deal for Diane Carroll to play a rich black woman in the 80s
My Grandma loved this show and this theme always stuck in my head, but now I can't unhear the "unofficial lyrics" : Linda Evans And John Forsythe Are coming down big long stairs
My English Uncle Frank could play the trumpet and he would play this tune on his trumpet and walk about the house early in the morning to wake his kids up and get them out of bed. It really pissed them off. He was an eccentric funny character. He's beeen gone many many years now, but we all often have a chuckle about it now as well as some of his other bizarre antics. We miss you uncle Frank, you old devil.
This is the intro I remember, I’d clicked on a few other videos... I wanted to work out how old I was when I was watching this. If the years in the description are correct, I was 8-9 years old.... can someone clarify when this intro started and how long they used it for? Thanks
