Geez..I though 5K. Don't know what we've spent but would be near 3k atleast. You didn't even count in pegs, ropes, pots skillets, induction cookers. Wow
Have actually had an issue with the setup on the trip and had to pull them out. Will sort what has caused it when we are home with the guys at AAA but I think it may be it MUST be genuine bushes if doing the bags. Keep you posted 😢
$80 for hose fittings? Ive neve paid anywhere near that price for brass fittings ( 2 sets) and have picked up two brass tap fittings from van parks and all i did was put new 0 rings on and all fine
That’s a good score finding a couple of fittings. That’s just the ol paying for convenience of going to Bunnings and having all the things we needed and we brought spares
In reality how much of the things were provided from " partnerships" and how much did you actually buy your selves??? Good to have transparency in your videos
Paid for absolutely everything in the video been a while since we made this but i can’t think of anything that was a sponsorship product We always when we do any reviews or information on products do have full disclosure if any product has been given but also in saying that it’s not something we want to do and always tell any company there won’t be a review but the product will be just used organically and then if we feel it’s good enough to say we believe it’s a great thing then we do it off our own back. Hope that answers that question mate
I’m exhausted just watching how much prep is needed ! ( but totally needed). Will be an awesome trip for sure. I see you swapped out your drawers for a RVSS unit. How are you finding them? Cheers
Hey mate. Yeah so much goes into a trip this big but definitely worth it and still things can go wrong which they have on our way up. Yeah the patrol is no longer a daily driver so went something a bit more setup for what I wanted. I cant talk highly enough of the quality. The setup I have wouldn’t be suited to everyone but they have plenty of options
@@4x4brothers thx for reply. Hopefully you have/can sort what’s gone wrong and the trip continues. The RVSS drawers are in my short list for my vehicle, good to know
@@4bnewb969yeah we have a small amount of time on our hands to allow for any issues but better to get them out of the way now than up the top. You will be happy with the RVSS if you go that way for sure 👍
Gday Alison Na not yet just in Brisbane atm have had issues with all 3 cars heading up so here to sort them. Will be in cairns on the 12th. Absolutely keen for any local knowledge of the place
Did u stress on ya gvm/gcm etc or just pack n go for it? U got alot of stuff. Keen for the rest of the videos as im planning same trip hopefully soon. What month is it ya left?
I did a trip over Christmas where I was packed the same except things were a bit different eg. kayaks and bikes etc so I know I’m ok (just) with gvm/gcm so just keeping past experience of weights in the back of my mind when loading up. On our way now mate be leaving cairns mid July
Yeah mate keen as to get back up. Will have a look at everything when we are up there and if looks pretty safe from damage absolutely will give it a go
The compressor for the bags is pretty small so it would take ages to pump tyres up You could tie the system into a bigger compressor if you have one but my tjm twin is in the rear of the car so I didn’t want to hear it when it kicks in to fill the tank so went seperate
Hey mate great video just wanted to ask why dont AAA Suspension offer higher GVM/GCM other than 3800kg? Most GVM places either have a 4200kg GVM/7700GCM which mine is or the 4499kg GVM.
@@adamsurf76 cheers mate they do go higher with the bags mines 4200 it’s just the ones they had there were on standard lower control arms that’s the limiting factor on the 3800 from my understanding to go higher need to be laminated or on track arms
@@trickymon yeah juzzy said when he’s doing the walk around my car on the hoist that I got a discount off retail in exchange for testing some new things that are coming for them and getting them feedback on the kit Have a few other suspension items I’m wanting to do that we want to see how it pairs with also down the track when I get about another $7k to spend on the parts and engineering 😂
Unbelievable. All driving in thongs. People,,do not drive bare footed or with thongs. This is really dangerous. First in barefoot you cannot apply full brake pressure with your foot. Secondly thongs can break or not break and cause all sorts of issues. This is why it's illegal on the road although it makes it easy for a snake bites in the bush Never have I seen any clown, chain sawing in thongs. Accidents waiting to happen. This is painful to watch. Not my role model kids. Great vid spoiled by stupidity. Now I'm off to grind my towball without safety glasses.
I’ve actually left the old control system for the manual operation of the coil assist ones all still there so all it is would be join the hose to the new bags and can manually set pressures to desired height
@@LVNITUPM8 spring and airbag combo much less likely, and that is what I am saying, an airbag going on a spring combo leaves you the springs, unlikely both will go, and more likely a bag will go rather than a spring !!
@@DASHOffRoad that’s not what you want time will tell. They did say if I had any issues I can be honest and if it’s something new we trying there is obviously some give and take for development within reason too which I was happy with. The lift plates make the bags sit much nicer that’s for sure
@@lurge61 I think a lot comes down to personal preference but I did look at them and have since some of the newer ones and I’m still happy as Larry with this. And definitely can customise things
How is the Tjm holding up? Is the arb still in use, was it fixed and now still going? Im asking because im about to buy a dual compressor, was going get arb, but watching this has made me reconsider. What was warranty like with arb for the compressor. Sorry for questions, just want to make right choice. Where did you mount your tjm in your patrol. Thanks in advance for answers
Gday mate. The arb is still in the Nav and got fixed under warranty no issues. Since the ep we have seen 2 other arb dual comps fail personally and been told of a heap more also. The tjm on the other hand haven’t heard one bad word said about it and I absolutely love it in the patrol. It’s quiet, don’t get hot and pretty fast. A few more of the crew have purchased tjm since and all couldn’t be happier. I’ve got it mounted on the back of the drawer system and a braided line to the rear of the car. The braided line that comes off the compressor don’t get hot and you can touch it after pumping up the car tyres no issue. Hope this helps mate
@@4x4brothers thanks so much for replying, yeah it does help, tjm for the go by the sounds of things. I'm glad I asked, was going get arb next week, now I won't. Thanks again for reply
Cheers mate. Was a ripper trip this one and grouse finishing it off with that sunset at that camp. Always trying to improve the editing so appreciate that comment too bud 🙌
