He’s grouse to have as a passenger. There is so many unreal tracks out that way. We are into the Gatta in 2 weeks so some good stuff coming from that soon
The quoted $7,000 didn’t include GST in my experience 😳.We are blessed to have the Vic high country in our back yard.I really appreciate your videos.Cheers,Rob.
Stellar video, Dave! Such awesome terrain, scenic views, and nice camping spots. Few questions: got the roof rack sorted? New jerry cans rack? New front bash plate? Rig looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers for tuning in as always mate. Yep roof racks all fixed and beefed up to not happen again. It’s no longer the wife’s daily driver so have put the Jerry holder on also, got that when the rear bar went on just didn’t have it on straight away. And yeah all new front bullbar and bash plate. Old one gave a Tesla a bit of a kiss up the bum 🫣
Love this part of the country. Whats with the copped looks really great was there a reason behind it. I'm doing the same trip next weekend the excalty same tracks and camping spots haha
It’s a grouse weekend loop that one. He wanted to get all the rattles out of the cab you get with a wagon and then being extended gets a full size canopy
good video thank you, as a 4b driver, I only watch these videos to give me new ideas and where to go camp , and Recent track info keeping things a secret turns me off. RU-vid channels are all about information. Sorry buddy, just had to be honest.
No stress there mate more than happy with track names etc but the problem is with some places especially these days is people just don’t look after the place and have respect for it. Every time we have been there it’s been spotless l, zero rubbish and broken glass. No vandalism etc so would be good to keep it that way there for as long as possible. Part of the adventure is stumbling across these places too that are hidden from being obvious where they are and having that wow how good is this moment. Hope you keep tuning in mate as still plenty of great places to come. Cheers
I see these y62s climbing some steep vhc tracks. Do you guys monitor temps while doing this? Specifically engine oil temp, coolant and transmission? What sort of numbers are you seeing, especially EOT? Whenever I do this in my Patrol EOT shoots straight up over 100 sometimes as high as 110 and takes a long time to come back down. Coolant temp climbs but when it hits 100C fan kicks in and brings it down. Trans temp pretty much stays the same.
We don’t actually mate but have actually really been meaning to buy a scan gauge to be across all this. The factory computer in them though has so much safety built in to protect them As soon as I get one I’ll do a trip or 2 then put a video out on what we are seeing
@@4x4brothersI think you should get a Scan Gauge and monitor the temps , I have a SC2 in my 62 you might be surprised at the trans temps , I have just fitted a Wholesale auto cooler, it’s dropped trans temp by at least 20c .
@@4x4brothers I tow a Hybrid Van only 2.4T , trans temps weren’t off the scale but often saw mid to high 90’s , I have only seen 100c once ,same up the bush in low range , cruising at highway speeds with the Van that’s fine 86-88 . A mate and I did Flats Tk , Army Tk and Bridle Tk in his new 300 Sahara his trans got 110c , that area is sort of my back yard , I’m trying to work out where that camp is , was that the Aberfeldy river . Enjoy your videos because you do a lot of local stuff . My 62 is a S4 , 120k so far no issues , I did get a warranty respray
@@jackofjr the y62 is definitely a better rounder than the Toyota imo So many good tracks all throughout the whole area. Your a bit off with the site though your on the wrong river
