I fell in love a long time ago and will always be in love with my beloved 💖 he's the only one who can make my heart happy 😊 Love you so much darling 😘💕
Seen THE FIRM LIVE 4 Times Two times in 1985 @MSG & @Brendan Byrne Arena, NJ An Twice in 1986 @Brendan Byrne Arena, NJ & The Veterans Memorial Coliseum, NY
Oh I love this, Jimmy Page is a show onto himself! Playing electric guitar like a classical guitar - that's why he had the edge on all those other guys.
When I compare Clapton with Page, I love Clapton's consistency. However, originality and breaking boundaries is all Jimmy Page's. Call it Swan Song or Moonlight , the stage is his. To me this is LZ just as different line up . If this was on say Physical Graffiti , then this would sit equally with Kashmir with equal joy and happiness
Not ARMS is it? Live Firm? Saw them in Atlanta that year and poor Jimmy, my hero was so fucked up that he quit in the middle of the white summer/black mtn side section where he majorly down- and uptunes... couldn't get back in tune! Just threw his hands up and walked offstage. ..but saw him 3 more times...mulch better. 58 yr old led head edit: It is ARMS, my apologies.
The audience- what a distraction. Bad choice by "management." Doesn't matter. It's eye candy. No way could they pull the song off live. Too many overdubs to re-create. I'm ok with it though. Making a record is an art in itself. When I buy a record it's because I love the sound- overdubs and all. The Moody's are masters at it.
Nah, that's me singing and playing the guitar too -- you just can't see me because I'm doing all that while hiding backstage right behind Jimmy Page and Paul Rogers.
This was from the ARMS concerts benefit for Ronnie Lane. Simon Phillips is on drums, there's congas in the backgroud (The FIRM never used congas in their tour, much less Simon Phillips - their drummer was Chris Slade for both albums & tours)
If you like the music and think he is it,why analyze he is sloppy ? No he is NOT. I hate perfection in art,it is not art. Aside from that he never took theory or lessons. THAT is genius and ART !
agreed, Page went to art school during the 60's. I think he viewed the guitar as a means to an end as oppsed to desiring to be a "guitar master". It was more creating something of artistic value than wanking off on the guitar hence he's not going to impress the guitar snobs.
Originally from his days with The Yardbirds on a tune called White Summer, from which Black Mountain Side was created. There’s a live version from Zeppelin’s well-documented Paris Theater show in 1972 in which Page performs them together
