Yo how many x magnification is it? And what focal length would be needed for more magnification? Great video BTW the only video that shows how to actually make a scope Time to be a super long range airsoft sniper
Without considering the shock resistance and aiming accuracy, making a scope isn't much more difficult than crafting a Galileo pirate telescope. However, since it needs to be used on a firearm, this DIY project might be more about sparking your fascination with optics. When it comes to professional-grade scopes, it's best to leave that to our factory.🤔
@dinhnam502 I found your channel ages ago with the sniper scope video, I always wanted to build one (never could get the proper lenses). I ended up making my own, but it was only about a 1.5x, and used an old monocular.
Hey how could I make that from metal parts with a post reticle? Post and cross hair. Looks like modern scopes the reticle is part of an erector assembly and the turrets move the end of the erector
Interesting to see, but how well does it hold up if you put it on an actual rifle and does it retain zero? Also how much did you spend on materials?…..considering how cheap you can find Chinese scopes for these days vs. the cost of PVC pipes and fittings, I doubt this is even feasible to make. I get that’s not the point, but there’s a difference between looking cool in a RU-vid video and how well it works if you actually plan on using it, not to mention the money you spend on materials for this v.s. What you can just buy online
Took me a while to realize that the glass could be used as windage and elevation adjustments if you painted a reticle on them, kind of like the mosins PU 3.5 scope. Great vid!
