would it be epic if this project was somehow open source so everyone can contribute to it? like one person lazer focusing on a specific part of the map to make it look better?
Hmm... I really like this idea in a way. Perhaps an addition to the map could be assisted with by community members. Obviously we have to achieve a certain quality level, so the core needs to stay tied to our internal team.
Timeline is detailed in the Kickstarter Prelaunch page. The Kickstarter will run through November, with everyone getting the beta of the track within the first two weeks of December.

I will not be able to Contribute money sadly, but I really do hope you meet the Goal to Make a Standalone (with offline Single Player Racing please for the Standalone) Game, a Proper Horizon Rival that Contains a lot of Classic TDU elements, with Assetto Physics...(Maybe you can get the EVO engine from Kunos? they seem like the Kind of Developer who would indeed Help if you do go Standalone!) OOF! so much Want!
Wow, props to you guys, this is a massive undertake, I salute you for the effort and ambition alone, I know how hard this is as I’m currently working on a rally stage from scratch based on madeira island roads! Cheers and good luck, hope to drive it sooner than later!
you know this could be used for the perfect rally expirience, as in you start driving from point a to b, then do a special stage, then drive to the next special stage and do that, then drive to the service zone etc. i know ac isn't really suited for something like this but, done privately maybe in a server with people taking times etc. could be kinda done. it would probably be a first since every rally games only does special stages
Perfect project! Really counting on it! Just one or two pointers: The lanes in Portugal are far more narrow. I believe this is a big detail that you guys should consider working on because it is really a defining aspect of these roads, especially in citys and rural areas or "Nacional" where the landscape is filled with narrow lanes, lots of tiny fixed potholes and debry and impredictable curves. Also the lines of the lanes are more thick. GOOD WORK!!
Also the idea of having a open world is great but maybe it would be better to divide cities in different maps so that it can be playable for low end users and also to better develop this maps.
Major roads are ~1.25x width to aid technical performance. For example to ensure AI performs flawlessly. Meanwhile side streets and freeways are 1x scale, and there will also be tight dirt paths and cobblestone alleyways.
This is incredible. 10/10 just for the ambition of the project. Until we push the boundaries of what is possible, we will always be stagnant in what we can achieve. I absolutely love it. This will become THE place to drive those ridiculous number of road cars I've got sitting on my hard drive.
I'm sorry you think that, please don't support the Kickstarter and wait until afterwards when everyone is enjoying the world and you can see it is not a scam before you reconsider joining us.

@@jrgennodeland8323 the main roads are 1.25x width I believe. One reason for this is because we need the extra width to ensure extremely reliable AI traffic as they traverse the map. While sideroads and freeways are 1:1 scale.
@@Authentic-Simulation Okay thats good. I realise my comment sounded very negative 😅 but i dont wanna discount the massive amount of work and effort you have put into this. I just personally dont like when you can overtake easily by just driving in the middle of the road. the ai stuff makes sense, and this project isnt made personally for me anyways 😁
please make this into its own game instead of an assetto corsa mod, its both going to generate insanely more money and bring something new to the racing genre for once. it would be so cool...
@@xestrix420 if we get enough funding we will. We have planned for a few things to make it happen on the backend. We just need at least $500k to have the funding possible to hire a small experienced team for a couple years.
