The nut slots being too high aren't the cause of that buzzing. You're fretting the string, which takes the nut out of the equation. You're banging the strings on the frets, which mean either your neck is too back bowed, your action is too low, or you have a few high frets.
@@Aceroxx02 oh interesting! Well thanks for the tips then, I’ll look more into this and see what the deal is. The biggest question for me is why it would only be the first fret that has the problem and not the others!
This was a great watch. If I ever do something like this, I will definitely use this as a reference video! The guitar is stunning. P.S. Let’s go Devils lol.
@@braedankeegan3291 glad you enjoyed man!! Hopefully it can be a good guide! Haha love the spirit. Y’all were really promising last year and fell off hard in the yoffs. Hopefully they can have a good season again this year!
@@djones_music I’m sure it will be a good guide I learned a lot. And yeah we were decent but sorting out our goalie tandem and bringing some physical guys will really help us. Good luck to you guys too you guys were solid last year at least when I saw them vs the Devs.
@@GibsonSG. thanks dude!! Lessons to come soon! Really wanna get them out there, but September has been a very busy month haha! In terms of practice, I don’t really have a set routine. My biggest suggestion would be to learn a song and master it, and then pick another and keep doing that. Eventually you’ll get quicker at learning and mastering and in turn your skills will improve as well!
Already commented on insta about this amazing guitar. Would love to get a rig rundown with this beast and how you made it! Great playing as always brother!
I have the 61 SG custom exactly like Jake's except I didn't get the vibrola because I figured I wouldn't use it much and it would make the guitar go out of tune. but I have to admit the vibrola looks nice.
@@ClayShentrup nice that’s awesome!! Yeah I only dig it for the look, I never use it haha. That’s super cool though, it must be a pretty amazing sounding guitar!
Fantastic song with a swaggering, southern, spirited sound. Certainly a 70s vibe too. Great tone on this song and you did a very good job replicating it. Regardless of what you used to achieve the tone, this is definitely a Marshall Plexi / JTM 45 / Gibson type of tone... I hope it lives forever !
@@stricknine8623 hey thanks for the kind words!! There’s definitely a plexi involved and an educated guess that maybe there’s a Vox in there too? To replicate it I’m not actually using any amp, it’s the Universal Audio Lion which emulates the Marshall Plexi. I had it set to the super lead head with the 4x12 Greenback speaker cab setting built into the unit. I had the signal split between the two input channels, similar to the real head as well and it got me pretty darn close. Can’t recommend the pedal enough, even to just try out. Super cool stuff! These guys are definitely gonna go on to do great things. I’m very excited to watch their future unfold!
@djones_music Hey man,..thanks and best of luck to you as you work your way to success as a musician. Apparently, you have an old school soul and I'm sure a new school understanding. I'm thinking AI might cause a disruption momentarily but also the catalyst to bring us back to the days of recording live in a studio setting and of course the resurgence of Rock n' Roll !
@@stricknine8623 thanks dude!! Yeah I agree, AI will cause a bit of a disruption but it will never have soul and that’s what all good music needs to contain. You’re absolutely right in thinking it will probably act as a catalyst in rebooting the love for live music, much the way the pandemic did to an extent too. Very optimistic for the future of the biz!🤘
That tone listening the first seconds is like that ''Safari Song live tone and atmosphere. I love it. What Gibson Sg like yours but in red color should i buy? Reissue61? standard? im going serious going to the Jake Kiszka Tone. You helped me a lot month ago thank you. Amazing cover. Im discovering nice songs thanks to ur covers.
@@josemourinho2810 that’s awesome dude, glad I could help ya out! Honestly any Gibson SG standard will get you the tone you’re looking for. The tailpiece is really just a look thing with a little bit of functionality as a tremolo. As long as you have an SG with PAF type pickups, you can get that nice tone from the bridge pickup especially between 4 and 6 on your tone knob
@@djones_music Can i add later a tailpiece to the gibson standard? I would love to use a tremolo for songs like Runway Blues or Meeting The Master live. Do u know what type of PAF type pickups is using Jake during last 3 years? thanks for taking ur time in my questions. I love ur gear and ur whole room 😆😆👍👍
@@josemourinho2810 honestly if you’re looking for a tailpiece I would recommend just buying the guitar with one installed. It’s a huge undertaking to install one correctly and to even source one, so I’d buy it with one on it if that’s what you’re after!
Hell yes!! Seeing these guys next Tuesday and can't fucking wait!!! You killed it Dylan!! Keep em coming. How about Hand in My Pocket? That one may be be in open tuning...not sure...but another great track! Was this on that pedal for your sound?
@@wizaxed thanks for the kind words!! Yep this cover was using the UA Lion pedal as my amp! Super solid pedal and can’t recommend it enough. For now I plan to wait for the studio versions of the Feel tunes so that I can get them accurate to the studio for when I go to teach them. Hope you enjoy the show Tuesday! Wish I could see the TBF and DH lineup on tour, but all the dates are too far away to make it out. Rock out to a tune or two for me ;)🤘
@@Um_Vascaino I believe they re-recorded them and will hopefully release them all again soon! From what I saw in the spotify creds of the old stuff, their current singer is not the one who sang on the old stuff so I imagine they’re tryna have a fresh start with their updated lineup!
Hey I haven't been getting notifications for some reason, but I just found this band last week and they're local. I'm st Louis area. I love them. I was hoping you'd have done covers and you have indeed. You rule so much
@@davidp7833 hey dude! Weird that notifications haven’t been coming through. Hopefully now that you’ve watched a vid and commented RU-vid will push them to you more again. That’s so cool that they’re local to you!! I can’t wait till the day I get to see these guys live!🤘
Thanks a lot for ur tips u gave me. I had a lot of fun playing Holygrail reverb on a Marshall for the 1st time. I Have some question for you lol. Do u know if Jake plays with 5 or 10 in his tone/volumen in his guitar? he up the gain when he plays the solos? what settings of Tone and volumen in my guitar shoud i have? thanks!!
