My childhood car was a copper bronze XA fairmont. 6cyl automatic. Slow, wallowy ride but never failed to get us safely home dispite dad pulling caravans up the blue mountains with the temp guage off the dial.
The problem with the crash-rate of stangs are a few things, including a poor chassis & suspension design, added with the single-IQ & inbreeding of the majority of those who own & drive these "trailer-trash" cars.
That looks the business! In my early 20s my dad had a Montego GTI that i used to drive everywhere, up & down the uk watching the BTCC etc. Happy days. ❤
Truly inspirational and congratulations Matt, you have literally won the game with this stunner! TVRs are some of the greatest cars ever, truly stunning to look at, to hear howl up the road. I'm sure that behind the wheel things only get better! I LOVE TVRs and would have this or a Griffith in a heartbeat. Also my ultimate is a Cerbera due to magazine write ups and Clarkson videos! The Tuscan, T350, Typhoo and later cars. But I also love the earlier Capri V6 engines cars and the wedge V8s too. The UK.I'd a sadder place without TVR but luckily we still have beasts like this prowling our streets with a purr, roar and howl!
Just sold my 1150GS and you, your film and The Speed Shop idea is a massive inspiration. Who thought you could have such a fabulous adventure on a little bike like this. Your video has helped changed my whole attitude to the size of bike I need and what I need to spend on the GS's replacement. Dorothy is fabulous and obviously huge fun that takes you to a happy place. The comment re Romance of Motorcycling and falling out of love with motorcycling - hit the spot perfectly.
I have absolutely NEVER seen this model Cortina before. We had all of the Cortinas in Australia, but apparently not this model, or the ute either in any of ours. It wouldn't have really stacked up against the bigger Falcon ute. This one looks extremely Japanese. Is this a re-badged model?
good vid ------ lovely car had saloon and convertible ---- for a first classic very good // car was five years older than me -- spent year restoring saloon then sold for a softtop - twin carbs and slow as a snail ... !!! // morris minor clubs and forum good for advice before buying ...
Scott, I love it have one myself busy restoring it. I am no machanic, spray painter nor am I a auto electrician but it is all my work and proud of it....Johan from Pretoria South Africa.
Mustang owner here, I do NOT understand how these people manage to crash so much, I arguably drive more aggressive than most the clips in this video and have never came close to wrecking any of the 3 mustangs I’ve had (all V8’s) these smooth brains shouldn’t be trusted with a v6 and belong nowhere near any car above 200hp.
Mustang owner here. I have perfect feel for the car since i bought it. Manual and better chop chop than most v8s will ever have. U wrong about stangs. Its the person who drive.
Are you sure about that? I've never owned or driven a current gen Ford Mustang, but I've I've known plenty who are, and they drive *way* better than this.
Tell you what at the 1 min mark that could have destroyed people's lives in a heartbeat , standing there watching shit kickers that cant drive and all of a sudden your 2 kids are dead infront of you with brain matter all over you.... people need to think ahead of time, its a situation that i wouldn't have put my family in, with everything I think of worst case scenario and prepare for it that way when it arises im good to go because im ready for it im not trying to be a smart ass im just saying it is the way I think after being in several severe accidents it wont happen again
Excellent comment. 110% agree. I would never tell anyone to go, let alone take anyone I care about to one of these car shows. At least not anywhere near where the drivers are driving. They aren't professionals. They are random dudes with cars who got together for a weekend. Half of them are way dumber than they think, and way more confident than they should be. It just takes one of them to be extra stupid and into someone and kill them. Its completely avoidable. I haaaate that people have their kids just standing there on the side of the road.
i had an 07 gt500 spent a fortune on suspension mods that thing still would never go straight. i did one burn out in my neighborhood almost took out a pole and a person walking very embarrassing. these cars are known for goin sideways.
@nicelife044 everytime I watch something like people leaving a car show you know there's going to be a dickhead driving in a mustang that's going to loose control and hit another car , hit a tree or nearly kill a member of the public ... crazy how often it happens..
I've got a 1997 Chim. Best car I ever had. Never let me down and have driven all around the Country. Large boot so great GT car. I've never driven anything where people say 'Nice Car Mate'. Don't think you would get the same response with a Porsche.
