Maybe replacing the factory alternator with the high output one would keep from adding additional fuel consumption because of the extra drag. But it would be running two separate charging systems.
Can you hook the Victron directly up to a 12v lithium battery? In other words go directly from a battery bank to your solar generator rather than using the alternator.
I recently watched a video from nomad brad about connecting the delta pro to a house battery setup which allows you to charge a house battery setup with the additional power and also still use both sola and alternator charging which can be a good option. Good information though appreciate the video comparison between the 2 devices .
Will EcoFlow make an accessory in the future to be able to charge the delta pro ultra with the battery charger since it doesn’t have the xts connection?
FYI according to Ecoflow: Will this product damage the alternator, starter battery, or affect the overall lifespan of the vehicle? No, the 800W alternator charger's charging logic does not rigidly apply 800 watts. Instead, it depends on the power surplus of the car's alternator. It ensures the alternator is not overloaded, allowing up to a maximum of 800 watts without harming the car's battery
That looks like one of those toys for kids ages +5 and up they put together. You can piss right off with $12,000 price... and that's just for the walls, floor and ceileng!!
Great video! I’m planning on placing an order for the diesel version. Curious if this comes with the auxiliary t-tap to plug into the Sprinter diesel fuel tank. Also hope you still have some of those sweet beanies ☺️
Have a 2017 Roadtrek 190 Popular on a Chevy 3500 chassis. Chose that because of cost of any mechanical work that it might need and the amount of people that can work on it. While Sprinters are nice they have less interior space because there not boxy like Transit and Rams. I also prefer not to have a diesel but that's just me. To be honest, full time vanlife is not as easy as living in a regular house so before you sell everything and hit the road, try it for some short trips. Good luck!
True. I got into van travel as pretty much my only mode to get out and see something out of. Now I’m looking for a slightly bigger van to accommodate my needs after 2 years of putting it into practice 😊
The thing that currently holds me back from the van is finding one that’s reasonably priced. I know everyone loves their van and they put a lot of sweat equity in it, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna pay you retail for the van, Modifications, And your sweat equity at $30 an hour after you’ve lived in it for two years.
is always fun to listen to a businessman. For me, buying a van that is worth almost as much as a house or more, I find that ridiculous and to have it park on my driveway 90% of the time is like having two morgues. I bought a 19 foot trailer with a solar system and I droved this trailer everywhere without any problem. but if you can afford to buy a van go for it. just saying.
This is the best explained info review that I've seen so far. What would be the tallest / widest rim that would fit on Sprinter 2500 with Hwy tires that will probably not get off-roading ?!
Thanks for the videos! these are all great. Do you mind sharing what fridge and lower galley cabinet sizes you have there? (I'm a new Sprinter 144 owner)
