Possibly my favourite episode ever from G Gundam. The twist with Domon halluceinating about his family while being drugged and the debut of Super Mode! Something so mesmerising and scary about it

I feel like the intro cutscenes are better in this opening, but I like Flying in the Sky more than Trust You Forever, extremely close though, both are amazing. 7:55 Also… how did I never notice until now that the picture is of actual Hong Kong in the background? I stumbled in this particular episode on Toonami Aftermath-streaming site and seeing Rain suiting up had my brain freeze a little - then later on Domon's next to her in same getup doing the Dual Shining Finger with sweeping shots on their butts and I think I knew now what Vince McKahon felt in that infamous creaming-pants-meme of his. (And this was before even seeing 1st ep with Domon's bunshot during suit-up. Male-leaning Bisexual brain very happy) *Ahhem*... that was a really horny first comment start here - but I really love your commentary, not only fun but informative too (I hardly follow what animators or directors are doing these so hearing Anno having been in this was interesting~) Honestly tho combined with the cool fighting sequence prior this was more than enough to get me into the series.
Imagawa really said "Love Conquers All" and didn't wink at the camera. It's a beautiful thing to behold. Combine that with sick action, Anno-sanctioned mechanical shots, and the father of Gundam's blessing, G Gundam is a gem and a joy to rewatch with friends.
While Flying in the Sky has the superior boarding, I Trust You Forever's song is a love letter to the spirit of the series, and much easier for me to sing.
I like how he totally destroys Masters gundam and then 10 seconds later Master is flying around with a new gundam and Funsaki. Domon basically kills him but he’s flying with the 4 kings as if that never happened. They never really explain how that works lol

Thank you! Good stories never fall out of style. As I began re-watching this series with friends and having an absolutely riotous time, I was reminded of just how incredibly timeless it was, and figured I'd make this series as a companion piece to those who already love it, and a curiosity-inducer for any who have yet to find it.
That whole Master Asia and Domon fight was absolutely amazing! A very heavy scene it is, indeed! It’s definitely up there for top scenes ever in G. Gundam, and like I said, it’s arguably the heaviest scene in this whole show! And yeah, the first half of this was GREAT! The last half is definitely worth sticking around for though, of course!

From the moment this show picks up, it just does not slow down until IT is ready to! Even if the budget is extremely obvious here, we aren't slowing down folks! It's the best!
Another great episode guys! Three things: First, love seeing the Shuffle Alliance fighting side by side. Second, am I the only one that thinks we need a perfect grade or master grade Devil Gundam? Third, Kali you wouldn't happen to post these fan works anywhere at all, I'd love to use that Rain sketch as my phone's lock screen.
The Gunpla fans demand the best, but Japan is still in denial that this was the finest Gundam to ever grace the franchise. Also thank you, I will be uploading these drawings to my KaleiWorks website eventually, but just been too busy lately to do so.

I ended up watching these few episodes back to back, just couldn't help it … things were just moving and I had to re-watch ahead! People who dismiss this show because of the caricatures of the countries really have misjudged it terribly. This show is GOLD.
Couldn’t agree more with this episode being great!!! And the Butler Gundam is the only Gundam with a steering wheel, huh? Didn’t know that. Interesting touch they have there lol. 7:15 Couldn’t agree more here as well! The voice acting, expressions, and sound design in this show never fails to amaze me!!! Amazed me when I first watched it, and it still does many years later! 💯

It's a Tombow MONO Graph 0.3 pencil, the lead came with it when purchased so I can't be sure if it's HB or other hardness. Love the fine tune of the ultra-thin lead. I'll be shopping for 0.3 HB smudgeproof refills next time I head to Yodobashi here in Kyoto. I also have a Kuru Toga 0.5 as a back up with HB 0.5 leads, but I haven't used that pencil for a while.

In the dub Chibodee Crocket is sung "America the Beautiful" as a lullabye. In the Japanese it was some other song. I think the dub version works better as it seems like something that would comfort Chibodee. He's trying to live the American Dream.
I had no idea, that is incredible and hilarious! So the dub crew went full America but were too scared to do the same with every other country. One day we will have the G Gundam dub we all truly want.
