I remember when everyone thought Adam was the best climber and now its Toby and Sorato! 🤩 btw I also just posted a new video from when I went outdoor rock climbing up to 5.11a in Japan! Hope you check it out! 🙏🙏🙏 If you do please leave a comment 🥰
From 2015 to 2019, Janja Garnbret and Jain Kim have competed in the same IFSC World Cup 27 times. Head to head result, Janja - 19, Jain - 7, with one tie.
Nalle is clearly way stronger than Adam. Adam is generally quite average when it comes to max strength. Also Adam is a leadclimber, Nalle is a boulderer. I guess that’s the main reason Natte looks smoother. If you throw Nalle at La Dura Dura, I bet Adam will be the faster and smoother one.
I don't think that's the case, Adam sent the boulder in less time than Nalle, hence why Nalle's moves look more refined, I honestly think Adam can send Burden if he has the motivation, or some other V17 more to his style of climbing.
Adam did this climb in half the time it took nalle, and the box of this climb suits someone a bit shorter - the moves look way more bunched for adam. If you want an example of his 'average' max strength check out will bosi trying terranova (he's done alphane and burden and says terranova might be harder than burden and actually the first 9A boulder done when adam was like 18)
Cool, didnt know he took so much less time. Still Adam is weak in terms of max power and finger strength, he admits it himself, hes just a great climber
hes never said he has weak fingers even compared to other top climbers. he flashed jade, a v14 crimp testpiece, he did this boulder in half the time it took the guy who did burden of dreams, and will bosi has said that ondra might still have the strongest fingers (maybe not on a fingerboard but on actual rock cuz he doesnt fingerboard)@@pavelbelik6174
There is no comparison. Two totally different body types climbing in different ways that suits them. Static is not better than dynamic and vice versa. Its whatever suits the climber.
You can see how much more tension and control the strongest boulderer has in comparison to the strongest route climber. Ondra had the endurance and margin to climb a bit ugly but nalle is strong enough to make it look easy. Both total animals for this
I felt like it is unfair to janja. She is fantastic in all areas. I don’t think Jain is great with Boulders. And janja get compared to different climber all the time. Even I really like Jain. The one make me want to do climbing. But I just think poor janja got too much crap.
I know Janja is brilliant, but Kim Jain has exquisite technique, beautiful and inspiring to watch, she is my climbing icon - no wasted energy -never seen better - I agree with others , its surprising how similar their moves are in this excellent comparison - but Kim is more controlled and precise - she also wears that ace bow in the hair!!
I know its the standard and I will get death threats for even questioning it but what is the idea behind lead comps requiring leading but with permadraws? Seems like a strange half measure if its to be representative of an outdoor they should have to hang qds too, no?
I don't understand how it is possible to do what he does. When he's out on a boulder a lot of times his cameraman is showing Adams hands up close and there is no visual hold but he is holding something that is seemingly not there. Lol. I think he's cheating. Lmao. Hey, there's cheating in football, baseball, basketball, golf, call of duty and now of all things even chess. So I call cheating here. Lol. Just kidding. He is amazing.
