I have a low idle around 500rpm, the front crank seal was just done though so maybe the timing belt wasn’t timed correctly as I believe that can also cause a bad idle? Should be around 700-750, right? I’m going to try and clean my IAC but it’s only about 4 years old
there is a way to make things much easier, use a zip gun and make a quasi cut all the long of the bushing external sheath, it will free and slips easily from its bore without causing damage.
Great review. Just want to point out that if you shoot in 12-Bit Raw you can transcode all your footage to 422 HQ by using the Canon Raw Development App. It only adds one extra step in terms of workflow but it's super easy because you can transcode all your files at once and keep them the same name file if you choose.
I wonder if this was recording in-studio or off the air? Judging by the fidelity, it must have been recorded in-studio from their board. Either way, this is so incredibly fascinating. I love hearing how radio used to be, and as many others have commented, hearing pre-Beatles era radio is rare.
antiseize everywhere is really unnecessary and extremely messy at that. also the castle nut should be adjusted manually to have the right amount of play in the bearing. too tight is bad and same with too loose. otherwise excellent video.

I didn't know this English version of the original German "99 Luftballons", by Nena! Being used to the original, I confess that I found this version a little strange... Ha, ha, ha... But it's wonderful too!
What a wonderful selection!!! In particular: "Puttin' On The Ritz" by Taco! It's a great classic from my childhood! This song was part of the soundtrack of a TV Globo soap opera here in Brazil called "Eu Prometo" (I Promise), from 1983. Memory successfully unlocked! Hugs!
