You forgot to mention that there were witnesses that saw Tommy wanting to kill Billy Batts in the bar after Batts humiliated Tommy about his Shine Box, no one saw Jimmy kicking and help Tommy kill Batts
That's baloney he was never in the witness protection program. At the end of his life he could easily be found regularly at a bar/restaurant in south Florida.
I never thought of one specific person snitching. I just figured the Italians would eventually find out. The killing was done at the spur of the moment (without thought) & even worse, it was messy. NTM Tommy had "no chill" meaning he killed other people for whatever reason just like he killed "Spider" the bartender. Stupid messy guys like that never last for very long.
Fredo was stupid enough to get duped into opening the drapes. It would’ve been easy to tell him some lie to get him to open the drapes. Fredo isn’t the type to think there would be an assassination on the compound
There is something that people overlook, which is that Alonzo was in survival mode, and this played a big role in his cruelty in the movie. It is true that he is a corrupt policeman but I think that because he was trying to save himself he became cruel
I truly think this may have been Michael's plan in the beginning. Join the war, lay low etc.... no one would have suspected (maybe Barzini) Michael. At Vito's funeral Barzini nodded at Michael. Barzini knew that Michael was the Don but not everyone else. Once the head of all the Families realized.... to late. Maybe I'm way wrong but it's possible.
More like manny should of went to New York to do the hit and Tony stay home . The boss is never out doing a soldier’s work. And he would have never been able to go and get married to his sister behind Tony’s back ever think of that scenario!
It’s wild knowing Robert De Niro is literally the weakest wimpy man to have ever lived in real life. That just goes to show you what a good actor he was.
Clemenza wouldn’t be wearing a silk suit to cook in a diner. A heart attack is a fully sufficient cause of death given his age and weight. The Hagen thing is fanciful. My guess is Tom finally split from Michael and accepted a counsel position with a legit gaming company. He dies of natural causes, perhaps too many 3 martini lunches.
The other Dons probably didn't understand the callouses that being in combat can develop on a person when it comes to killing. Michael was familiar with killing people.
This entire video is misinformation. The arrest of the Shelby family was arranged by Section D - the organisation Hughes was apart of. They were charged with the many crimes each of them were responsible for. Arthur for the bombing of the train, Polly for the murder of Campbell etc. Tommy arranged for their pardon. Personally, i think it could be argued that Tommys worst decision was declaring war on the italians which consequently lead to the deaths of both Grace & John.
Michael explains why later. He wanted Tom not involved in some of the more complicated power moves being made because he wanted to be sure he could trust him at the end. That scene is important and shows that he still does value him. Probably more so than others even.
Michael was seen as weak, the book mentions that the Don himself thought that Michael was too effeminate and might be gay. When it was shown otherwise the Don was relieved. Within the family it was known how tough he was because he was the only one who would stand up to the Don himself. This movie is so magical and mesmerizing that if you read the book you almost think that everything in the book was included, it wasn’t.
Michael was a cynical hero, who was completely disenchanted by American hypocrisy; being a Yankee Doodle Whop who thought they left corruption back in Italy, like the Coroner-- only to find out it was just as bad if not worse, and they were going to kill his father in America after he escaped all the way from Italy. So like the Coroner, he had his world turned upside-down, and had to fight back _against_ the system that he originally fought against Italy FOR.
I love the three stealth villians. Sen.Roberts, Ward, and Webb. You're sure it's Nicky and Ginger who will take it all down but the ball gets rolling because he screwed over the locals. And he was warned. Out of 11 major speaking roles, 9 were played by folks who worked as stand up comics. Can you name them?
Real story is Henry hill really wasn’t part of the hit on Billy batts at all so that explains why he didn’t get killed as for jimmy only thing I can think of why he didn’t get killed maybe it was because he was good earner and might have distance he’s self made out as if Tommy was main one and he played minimal role maybe that’s not fact no proof where there’s enough proof to say Henry hill lied about he’s involvement in that hit like he did many other things Henry wasn’t as tough as he was portrayed in goodfellas
Tony's world was over when he started using his profit, and it confirm it when he killed Manny. Manny saves his ass in that hotel bc he was next. Poor angel. Rip😢 you'll never see another Al Pacino tho. This man is top notch No one can come close to what he does.❤ Love this man
meanwhile back in reality Tony pro never paid a penny to have anyone murdered Certainly not for a murder committed by another made guy The mob don't pay for murders
