Hello, welcome to my channel, I will produce recycling videos and DIY content on this channel.I would be very happy if you subscribe to my channel and support me, see you in more content. My contact information is attached.
You are amazing at your work and what I like most is the elegant finishing and clarity of the image while working - Onward, maestro of art and wonderful ideas. Greetings to you from Gaza - Palestine - despite the bombing and the dangerous situation, I found some time to watch you and enjoy what I saw, and I am happy to subscribe to your channel to follow everything new.well done.
Right at the very start of this video when it showed the finished machine, my first thoughts were "Why on earth would you design a machine to couple a belt grinding machine with a lathe, when anyone knows how detrimental grinding dust is to the carriageways of a 'precision' machine?" I will watch it but I am not impressed at all. Paintwork is nice! After seven minutes of watching this, my use of the word 'Precision' I realised was well and truly inappropriate ! I will watch just to see how bad it's going to be, now that he shouldn't care less about the grinding dust! Now I've watched it all, I have to admit I'm impressed with the makers ingenuity, but the amount of deflection that the chuck has against the tool pressure is enormous in engineering terms. A much thicker tube for the spindle would help or a solid spindle would eliminate most of it. The most glaring weakness is the 6 mm base plate for the compound slide held partially by the corners of the four 10mm bolts that will flex like crazy under even the lightest of tool pressure. All in all an interesting exercise, if you can afford what looks like a brand new 3 phase motor and VFD, you can afford to find an old scrap lathe and rebuild it lol
I always love to watch a skilled fabricater make a machine its a different mind set than a machinist. It takes some serious skill. You are a master at your craft.
I’m surprised you didn’t “V” notch the 3 Plates you welded together. Just a thought not a criticism. Coat the bare metal with a good Gun Wax. You are a Genius at design.
