Welcome to my tech channel, I'm Confy Scenty. I’m interested in purchasing one because of the built-in router feature, but unfortunately, Airtel Lagos doesn’t have it and seems unaware of its availability.I currently own the Airtel Smart Box, which I purchased in Ibadan, but it doesn’t have an inbuilt router. I want to connect it to my access point. Could you advise me on how I can get the Airtel Smart Router with the built-in router feature? I am looking forward to your response.
@@florencedopamu-xt2xr You can use the Airtel 5G SIM on any Universal 5G device. As for the speed, if you want an uncapped speed you should subscribe to a data plan that doesn't have a speed cap. The unlimited data plans have a speed cap, irrespective of the device where you put the SIM. Also, the unlimited plan may not work if you put the SIM on certain devices.
Hi bro nice review. Have you tried downloading DSTV stream onto it? If yes was it as easy as just downloading from the play store or do i need ro side load it
Someone said the TV box has no wifi. Is this true? And please help me check if the TV box has a wifi Hotspot. And help me find out if there's any way to share files from phone to the TV box. Cos the method I know about needs wifi connection
No wifi but the box comes with a router, once u connect ur phone to it, u can share files between the tv and phone using an app called send files to tv
@@godwiniriogbe1382 yes am using it too, but airtel network fluctuates too much in my area, I would love d option for connecting mtn on it. Other than that, its a good device
Brother please I bought this last week and no network signal, I tried connecting it to my MTN router via WiFi, it didn't work, i tried using LAN cable yet it didn't work. Please help me out
@@ConfyScenty just that the network in my area (actually a village) is very very poor, it can only be used for call on mobile phones. Then I bought an MTN router last year, with it I have no network lag at all, but this Airtel smart router can't get network
If what you need is a router and a router only, then the Airtel 5G router is the obvious choice. However, if you're interested in a device that's both a smart TV box and a router built into one, that'd be this one.
I also have this pro version and it’s universal red color. what’s the difference between the regular one and the pro.. you can do a video about it sha.
That guy is a silly liar. It does not support Netflix. He's such a stupid guy! I own d box but it does not support Netflix. Why confuse people?@@solomonigbokwe2336
@@solomonigbokwe2336 I own this channel. I make and upload the videos that you see here. I've made videos teaching people how to do things in tech that they didn't think were possible; which is the whole reason for having a channel like this. If you consider all that and still wonder whom to believe, then that's sad. As for the foul-mouthed guy that called his generation those manner of things, I'd say it's a simple case of a person perishing for lack of knowledge.
@@akinremedy All those things that you were so quick to say about me speaks volumes of how ignorant you are. It is okay to not know stuff, it is very okay... But what's not okay is not knowing stuff yet abusing people who do. You said you own the box, right? Good. The box is not the only thing that you own, you also own ignorance. A great deal of it. Please leave.
Is it possible to connect the box to a WiFi different from the Airtel Network? And please, do a more detailed video showing its features and capabilities. Thanks
I'm not sure it's possible to tag anyone. Just make sure that you're subscribed and use the bell icon to turn on the notification for when a new video is posted.
The internal antennas are very sensitive, a little change in the direction or position of the router can bring about a significant boost in the network. You should try it in different locations and facing different directions while watching the signal strength on the dashboard until you find the best spot.
I know right! The performance is pretty good. There's hardly any lag in the system. I'll probably do a more scientific test to ascertain how well it truly performs. Thanks for dropping by 💯.
