The Pro and the regular X25 are pretty much the same device. I think the difference is the fact that the Pro was customized to suit Airtel's brand.

@Iamhorlar Well, the comment was specific, "The Airtel 5G router sim card". And yes it'll work. I know so because I've tested it myself. But you're right about some of these customized sims not working on a phone sometimes, for some... Even if the mobile data turns on it just wouldn't browse.

The speed will mostly depend on the network quality in your location, if the network has good speed then the router would have no problem with keeping up. As for the subscription, Airtel currently has some true unlimited plans which I'll be reviewing on this channel very soon, alongside some speed tests on the router. The unlimited plans have speed caps but absolutely no data cap at the moment, or maybe a really high data cap which anyone that's using the sub is yet to reach. The plan I'm currently subscribed to costs N20,000 with a speed limit of 20mbps (2.5MB/s), there are other options with higher speed limits. Do make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss out on the review.

@@godgraceamadin5645 It is both the upload and download speed. They're both capped at 2.5MB/s (20Mbps).

You can extend your WiFi range with a WiFi Repeater. That's one of the easiest ways.

@@florencedopamu-xt2xr You can use the Airtel 5G SIM on any Universal 5G device. As for the speed, if you want an uncapped speed you should subscribe to a data plan that doesn't have a speed cap. The unlimited data plans have a speed cap, irrespective of the device where you put the SIM. Also, the unlimited plan may not work if you put the SIM on certain devices.

It's sold in Airtel offices here in Nigeria. If you're outside Nigeria, you can buy it or other ZLT 5G routers from online stores such as AliExpress or Amazon by searching with the model name.

With the original settings the router would automatically switch to 4G network when 5G is unavailable or unstable.

Last question. Is the yearly plan available for the 5G router?

I don't know the yearly plan you're referring to but there's a 1TB for N100,000 yearly plan available.

No. You can't power the router via the USB C port. It's only used to connect the router to a PC.

Have you tried resetting it by pushing the button through the tiny hole under the router? Or you only tried resetting it from the dashboard?

Definitely. I already did an MTN 5G speed test on my phone and uploaded the video as a short on this channel. Maybe you should check it out. I plan to also do a speed test on Airtel 5G and would upload the video as well. Then I'll probably do a comparison video for the routers which they both provide once I get the MTN 5G router. But from what I know, you'd be fine with either router. The coverage and speed of the networks in your location should be the deciding factor instead.

@ConfyScenty I'll be in Lagos Island soon, and I wanted to know which you'd recommend for better Internet speed. I know I can find information about coverage location, but we both know what's written on paper is usually different from actual experience.

I'd advise that you get to your new location and probably test the coverage of different networks with your smartphone before buying the router of whichever has the best coverage and speed. The coverage and speed of these ISPs can vary widely within the same town or street sometimes. So it's usually best to test it out yourself.

You can renew your subscription via the My Airtel app by linking the router line to an already existing Airtel line. Or by simply logging into the My Airtel app with your alternative Airtel line if you already linked them.

I believe I mentioned that in the video. The location where I unboxed the router didn't have a 5G signal.
