Except the hose from the dryer should fit INSIDE the exiting vent, not on the outside. Air flow is blowing out so having the exit hose on the inside can snag dryer lint and reduce air flow.
I need to connect this in the crawlspace under my house. Hard enough to get it on but the hole from the floor to the vent exit is at a 45 degree angle… looks like they used the accordion hose pulled down and to the duct under the house… it had been torn out before I could see except for the accordion hose coming halfway down… have no clue how the fit it through the hole as the hole in narrower than the hose… 🤦🏻♂️ I’m about to cut another hole as I may be an old man the next time it needs to be fixed.
Oh my God, thank goodness for Pappy! This has been a nightmare, trying to get this stupid thing onto the adapter. I’m still working on it, but I almost have it all his chips and tricks are helping thank you thank you thank you.!!!
My ignition wasn’t working so I had to unscrew the pilot light window and hand light it while I was holding the gas on. You really have to hold the flame on for a FULL minute before super slowly releasing. Fingers are numb but worth it
I thought I was totally out if it as I’m an amateur but I’m so glad y’all are confirming that we all experience the frustration of connecting a 4” pipe to a 4” duct. Sooo annoying!! I used Papi’s hack and it worked!

If there’s something that raises a red flag to your inspector they will tell you and give you time to fix it. I would imagine as long as your plants are in a separate area than chickens it’s probably ok.
Currently looking at this in a burgundy color on Amazon for a business of mine. This video was excellent and gave me the details I was looking for. Appreciate ya, man! I'm sold.
I’ve been propagating for years. I couldn’t tell you where I got all of my trees. But I keep them clean of pests and weeds. Did you have to provide information on where you got all of your seedlings cutting etc? Or did they just look at what you had growing? Thanks!
The whole process feels far more intimidating than it actually is. Just keep your space clean. Have your plants labeled. Get rid of weeds and stay on top of any pest problems. In my area at least, They will work with you. They want to see you succeed.
What size was your nursery when you applied for a license? I am a rule follower to a fault so im anxious about getting a license. I just planted my first cuttings and my goal is to plant/grow 100 plants this year.
I had hundreds of plants when I applied. Size however is irrelevant. They are inspecting to see if you are keeping your area clean from weeds and pests.
screw the flexible duct like a screw - works like a charm. make sure to follow the direction of the spiral. no need to flatten the hose since it's more work and can cause tearing.
So, they say we went to the moon several times, starting in 1969. And they cant make this system any better. I dont understand. This infuriated me today.
You want out going duct ends to fit inside connections, not over to avoid lint build-up and leaks. Get a metal crimping tool which will taper the end to fit inside.
NOWHERE can I find the adapter, that's 4 1/8" OD to slip over the dryer exit itself, to attach to your flex hose. Sadly I live out in BFE and most people have never even HEARD of it. But it exists. Somewhere.
I’ve had lots of equipment issues. Lots of big life changes. It’s been good for my soul to detach from social media for a while. I WILL REBOUND at some point. I appreciate this. Thank you 😁
Haha! OK ill let you know how mine turns out. I put a little cut in mine to ensure it lines up as it was originally. Hopefully once I've got my hle saws I an finish it off.
