the promo to bring in more women makes sense but at the same time it is indeed discrimination for the same product based on gender, not to mention it is generally something that everyone would want. lets say there would be a promo that is women only but its like a small gift like maybe a small sanrio character, not everyone would want that but it is still a bonus for just women, less people would be mad about this type of promotion. Don't get me wrong, there are many things that discriminate against women and they should be abolished by now like no women in the sumo ring but some folks argue that women pay more for certain products targetted for women and they have to remember it has to be the same product then there's an argument. skin care products is the worst because men and women's skins are in fact different and the women's skin care products tends to have more things and scents compared to the men products, this is not a case of women being overcharged for the same product because the products are different. There is also nothing stopping the consumer to buying the product targetted towards the other gender unlike this promotion where you don't get the choice between paying for the cheaper product or not.

Good thing I'll be in Japan this October. I definitely picked a really good time to go, plus I'm going to SEGA Tokyo Joypolis so I take a pic of Sonic in a vampire costume. And I'll be Kurayoshi City Tottori prefecture in November so I'm pretty excited about that, especially since there's an event going on over there. Probably go try to check out the sand dunes as well. Oh shoot though with a new political order, this can be concerning for me. Hopefully, I can still afford my fun in Japan........ I hope.

Is there a significant difference between the regular Suica card and the "Welcome" Suica card? I'm nervous about the Welcome card not having the same functions or being limited in some ways. One more question though, can the Suica card be used in pretty much any major city of Japan and for both the train and bus lines (except for the bullet trains)? I've done research but that wasn't totally clear. Planning my trip for mid November, so the card's return is great news! Thanks!!
Hello! I went on August to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto and i took the Welcome Suica at HND Airport. It worths a lot! Me and my friends were there for 23 days and we took a lot of trains without any problems in those 3 cities (Although we had to buy the Shinkansen to Osaka and back). We could even take the line to Nara which i think its a different line from JR. You can recharge the card in any Station, use it at konbinis and vending machines in streets. I highly recommend it!
Only real difference is there's an expiry on welcome Suica. It's only active for 28 days. And you can't refund what's left over. Didn't have an issue when I used it recently. Used up all remaining value at the airport.
As a guy, I think women getting charged less because they eat less is totally fair. I think the guys complaining about it are just being selfish and pretty because they were jealous. A real man shouldn't throw a tantrum over something trivial like that.
Great video. For Osaka Castle, you mentioned that there was a road train to take you to the castle. Would you be able to provide more information about this train? For example, where do you board this train, is it free, and what is the frequency or schedule of the train service?
Hi really liked your video could you tell me which is the best time slot to visit if you want less crowd also the morning slot has been booked so other than that which one do you prefer ?
Im going to Japan in March 2025. Ive already started doing research on getting bus tickets and train tickets online and proper rules for in person purchasing. So, hopefully I won't be one of the tourists blocking everything up 😢
The consumption tax refund should apply to big purchases like luxury goods. Imagine just buying ¥30,000 worth of skincare and you have to line up at the customs.

No cash needed, sucia card on iPhone works everywhere. If a spot only takes cash, go to another spot. Every time you withdraw or exchange money you get less money. Make sure your credit card does not charge foreign transaction fees.
The tax free shopping rule change sucks. It will save time at thousands of duty free counters around Japan but create bottle necks at airports instead. It's just shifting the burden and will require departing travellers to allow for extra time to transit. Once again, the actions of a few bad actors ruin something for the masses
I think much of what you recommend here are more suitable for first-timers to Tokyo. Tsukiji market, cosplay cafe, takeshita street, omoide lane are all tourist traps. Expensive, crowded, and long wait time. I would be more interested if you can recommend places and things locals would go and do. Especially ma and pa restaurants to support independent, family owned businesses. Please consider for your next video! Thank you.
Hi. Question about bring medicine to japan here. We plan to travel to japan for two weeks this fall. My brother needs his prescription medicines for his anxiety. I google it and read about it. It says that you need to apply for a certificate called "Yuuyu Kakunin-sho" if you bring more than one month supply of medicine. It also said that you don't need to apply if you bring less than one month supply. I got confused since some say you need to apply it no matter what. So do we need to apply for it even though we will bring less one month supply medicine since our trip only for two weeks? We are really looking forward for this trip.
