I saw some mermaid resin art pieces in a seaside shop in Venice Florida, and fell in love with them. I bought my first rock tumbler and started tumbling glass that I found at garage sales and thrift stores. I took a resin art class at a neighborhood shop. After a lot of trial and error I was able to create some pieces I am proud of. Everyone is always asking me questions about it so I thought I would create a channel to help those that are interested. Since I started working with tumbled glass I have also become interested in all different forms of glass art. I have been trying broken, crushed and mosaic glass art also. Yes you can but Art resin is a coating or doming resin and it should only be poured 1/8th inch at a time so you are better off using a casting resin. Art resin is $120 a gallon and many of the casting resins you can but for 1/2 that price.
@@bb121281 You are so welcome also casting resins are thinner and do not create as many bubbles and with molds you do not want bubbles because using heat to get rid of bubbles can damage them.

Those pumpkins are so pretty! Love the fishbowl you put on the screen. I bought a donut mold in Goodwill today because I want to make the glass wreaths you made a while back. I couldn’t get them out of my mind and now I can make some. The mold is silicone, shiny and it was just $2.49! I am all set ! Thank you so much for your tutorials. I appreciate you.

the burgundy/gold canvas would look awesome with IOD’s beautiful flower transfers. Had to figure out that it was you that taught using the Dawn spray, only took me 7 months to finally buy it and look to see what to do with it! Lol. Cleaned up dropped paint really fast too, clean and make art! 🥴
Hi! You have helped me so very much, especially with your techniques and experiments! I watched your video with your using the Naked Fusion Original resin. Did you like the New and Improved just as well? I recall you mentioning there's quite a price difference between the two. Thank you!
@@lori2280 well I do like the new and improved one but I have not tried it on canvas. I’ve only used the new and improved on Glass, which works nice and I think there’s maybe $30 difference between the two . but where there is a big difference is the difference between the naked fusion original version and art resin lot of people use art resin because it’s a coating resin It works well on canvas and not all resins are actually good on canvas. Some resident will leave fish eyes so you have to be careful so art resin being a very popular resin is also a very expensive resin it is &120 a gallon where is the naked fusion-original formila is $80 a $50 difference now with naked fusion the original formula. It is a little bit more difficult to work with in that you have to warm the resin for 10 or 15 minutes, which isn’t really that big of a deal. Just stick the bottle in hot water, but you have to make sure that you don’t get any water into the resin, and this also needs to be mixed a little longer. You have to be sure to look at the side of it to make sure there are no swirls.
