He’s talking about the opioid crisis in Appalachia. Dad hurt his back and got hooked like so many Americans. But it seems in this song he is struggling with addiction but trying to hang on.
Just an absolute gem of a song. I love the way that Chris harmonizes but also makes sure his voice doesn't dominate because this is Tyler's song for him and the boys. Just perfect. Boys, be good.
It's crazy that you won't hear this man on the radio, but the world recognizes him as one of the greats amongst other country legends, and he sells tickets the same way they do. God bless Tyler Childers
Rights, unfortunately in my country Canada all they play is stupid "country " I almost get mad when I hear it. It's hard fuck off. So happy I found my second favorite ginger. Have to listen everyday ❤
Might not be an answer to my question, but why does Chris call Tyler Dwight Yoakam at the end? I'm new to country, Tyler was my way into it. I wanna expand my horizon so any Dwight songs/albums recommendations are welcome 🤠
this is really beautiful to see but I have to say as a singer songwriter I don't think chris is in tune singing. and their capos are on different frets so that might be it. I doubt most people would hear that and people loved it anyways so whatever but just something my ear heard.I love both of them as artists and I absolutely love this song
tbh Chris Stapleton is awful and doesnt deserve to be on that stage but at least he didnt use his fake country twang while he was sharing the stage with someone who can actually sing
