I go to that bootsale on a Wednesday and it's getting more and more competitive as more resellers popping up. This isn't a dig at you or you tubers but you mention you struggle to pick stuff up then tell everyone what skates to pick up so next time your viewers go they pick up those skates and you miss out. Like I say not a dig and you have to fill with content but really think your shooting yourself in the foot a bit. I see those Smeg items and was about when she sold them for £10 a pair which was a bargain.
Yeah I'm aware it's a view that some people have, in reality that Wednesday "boot sale" has become less and less of a boot sale in recent years, and the prices reflect that. I'm also in a position at the moment where I have enough unlisted stock to last me about a month without needing to source 😂 so there's always plenty out there! You sound like you go to all the same boots, you'll have to say hello next time if you see me 👍🏻
Hi Jason, Facebook is definitely the best place to find them out, they almost always have a page dedicated to them, and will be listed as an "event" as well 👍🏻
I was at the same ones on Saturday, I’ve never seen it so bad. I went to the hard standing in Colchester and Sandon on the Sunday and they were terrible too.
I always pick up those wicker chairs if the price is right, funnily enough though I’ve had no takers on the one I’ve got listed currently so I wonder if peoples taste is changing?
I've not had one in a longggg time so fingers crossed they'll shift, hope yours goes soon, sometimes bringing the thought in to the universe can make weird things happen 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Enjoying these videos, you never know at a boot sale, even the crap ones can have one good stall. I was in Norfolk at the weekend and most of their boot sales were rained off, gutted as I love a new boot sale on a weekend away.
I don't know if your thoughts were the same as mine on that camouflage outdoor wildlife camera that you left? These are current models, and people don't usually get rid of them unless they're broken? Great video. Best wishes, Roger.
Bangin pickups there mate. I hit the charity shops in Wakefield today. Wasn't great. Carboots rained off in my area. Normally go to twinoaks in Chesterfield it's massive.
Another great video. I was wondering how easy it was, while you were on holiday, to let go of thinking about EBay? When you work in a normal job that is no problem at all! Best wishes, Best wishes, Roger.
I think it's gotten easier over time for me to be honest Roger. This holiday was so nice and relaxed and I was really able to forget about eBay (almost😆) completely 🙌🏻
Don't let the negative comments get you down,it's a hard job,but so much easier than working for any other company, you can choose your hours, your lunchbreak, your start time, your finish time, doing this part time for me is an absolute game charger 😊
100% I agree with you. I sold an expensive item on eBay £250 item. Buyer wanted it sent to Argos pick up point. Buyer didn’t collect it in time so eBay said it was being returned. 3 weeks later no sign of package. We had a Royal Mail tracking number for the return which showed as invalid on Royal Mail website. In the end, called the Argos store and spoke to manager. She looked into it and then it arrived the next day. Manager rang me back and admitted they wait till they have a load of parcels before they actually send them back and then she said sometimes they just donate the items to charity shop next door??? My concern was, who is responsible for the item. Royal Mail has delivered parcel so not them. Me, the seller has sent item and proof it was received in Argos store. So who pays for the refund if necessary???? Moral of the story, not using click and collect for valuable items in the future!!!
hey. love you're content. just a couple of questions. are you a full time reseller? secondly what was the tipping point that you decided to stop your "proper job" (lol) and go full time. im juggling a full time job and a 600 item store.
I’d hold off for as long as you can. I went full-time last year and the first year was great (made loads of money etc). So far this year, it has been crap. Roughly the same items etc, just a change in people’s spending habits. I’ve gone from £14k sales a month at my peak, to £5-£7k at most now. It looks to be getting even worse too This is a tricky year for most people, so unless you are selling stuff that you are confident will sell in a recession, I’d hold off for now.
@@nickleeson87 you'll get there. eBay is weird right now though, I haven't had any consistency at all this year. Just know that full-time is hard work and can be VERY stressful is sales don't come in. My best advice would be to try to build a bit of a buffer up so that if you don't sell enough, you aren't screwed for cash. Plenty of people do it full-time, so no reason why you can't
Answered this in my video yesterday if you haven't seen 🙌🏻 But answered well in this thread as well already! Definitely be happy with what you're achieving before jumping in, there are many many different angles to approach reselling with, numbers will only be relevant to you as you know what you're spending 👍🏻
HI. about vinted, mine is the item arrived late and the buyer change his mind and didn't pickup the item. so inpost returned the item using the same tracking. but for sure there will be cases that it will be declared as lost.
I’ve been using Vinted a lot more recently and I really like it but I can’t see there being issues for sure. But hopefully Pro is available soon anyway as it will be great to see how it goes
It's a great app for sure, genuinely love everything it offers, I always look at what the process is when things go wrong though, and currently I'm not sure it's the tightest in that area
