You are a hard working individual who really does a good job and knows what you’re doing. Great job!! Keep up the good work, you do it better than most men truthfully.
You don’t need the tee to clean out the line. You can use disconnect the p-trap or come down thru the cheater valve. Plus move the cheater valve to the highest you can and still have it replaceable. It’s really supposed to be higher than the sink top. This is a good demo of how to also EASILY replace S-Traps with a P-Trap. Just abide by minimum p-trap length two times the inner diameter of your pipe rule.
Nice tip from the past :) But, is the low end below the grade of the bottom of the hole or just from the top of the surface? Like did you have to measure depth of hole and then figure out where it was lower to place other end?
You're actually not supposed to use the pipe dope on pvc, it softens the plastic and can allow for future leaks. Only apply tephlon tape to the threads because it will seal the threads once you put it into the cleanouts and it will not soften the pvc.
I'm also a novice painter, but I'm very impressed with the results and the superb job you did in documenting this project. your photography and narration were excellent and you captured all the important steps with crystal clear video and great sound quality. Thanks a lot for doing this. I just did the front of my house with a Magnum X5 and the steps for the pump, hose and gun all seem to be 100% identical. I got good results too applying a Baer primer to the wood paneling, under the eves, and the trim.. and I'm now motivated to do the back side of the house and under the patio. I agree 100% on your comments about using Sherman Williams and getting their paint on sale.. It wasn't on sale below 20%, so was too steep for me... so I got my Premium paint and primer at Home Depot for about 1/2 of the cost of the Shermam Williamd mid-grade. I hope that doesn't turn out 10 years later to have been a mistake.
A little trick is to use a double 5 gallon bucket and put ice water in the bottom bucket to keep the grout cold. I did a room last night with it and it had a very good working time and cleaned up well and I didn't do it super fast. it worked great for me.
Once you fill the hose, could you go hole to hole without filling it again (most the time) and still be able to create a siphon to empty 20 or 30 fence post holes without refilling the hose if you plug both ends and keep them up in between going to each hole?
