I posted more about it in your thread but the gist is that this crank does not fit without machining the stock cases and that is information that even Malossi seems to fail to mention. Some other places I've checked out though say that it either needs case work or aftermarket cases.
I'm reading that now. I still feel like they make it seem like it will work with stock cases. This crank will not work with mine. It grinds the intake.
PERFECT! I needed to make replacement through bolts 9.5" long using 10/32 threaded rod for a pool pump motor. Cut to length, add 2 nuts and have a reasonable replacement.
Question i bought this and have wired everything up except the back tail lights yet tried to turn on the head light but it doesn't come on but the horn works which is on the same switch does all the lights have to be wired for the lights to come on?
I have 2 bikes wired with lights waiting on me to add the hydrolic switches. How often does this need to be bled? Bleeding is the reason i haven't put them in yet

when i was young i decided it was a good idea to just drill the hole out with a big drill as far as i could. while the motor was in 1 piece, cranck inside. well after my surgery the hole was leaking and it didn't drive verry well. i brought the engine to my local motoshop and they fixed it, probably with back welding it up, the hole was still bigger than original and it pulled pretty hard after that.
It doesn't matter how much wiring I do, I can never get my head around electricity. I thought that grounding the stator's live would cause a short and blow a fuse?
Hey Cornped, thanks for the great videos! My question is, when you removed the return spring from the engaging plate, the case side of the spring sat in that groove at about 4 o'clock, but when in this video you placed it in that lower nook directly below the tabs it sat in when you opened it. Most other videos have position it where you did in this video. Hope that makes sense, thanks again!
