A collection of everyday applications to save you time, money, frustration, and headaches. Several years ago I was struck by the epiphany that many of the impossible things to fix where when broken down to their basic elements really easy to do. And while not everyone will want to tackle a dirty brake job, I invite you to watch and see how many things are within your reach. We also include product reviews and installations just to round out the experience.
Thank You!!! My vintage Wacom Intuos 2 will live to draw another day because of your video. It was doing exactly what you described - eraser end functional but pen end dead. It does take a tiny screw driver, a good light source and maybe magnification or at least reading glasses. It didn't work at first, but I reasoned there might be a sweet spot and that was the case. Once I had it turned just the right amount the pen came back to life and is working perfectly. Thanks for taking the time to post this fix as a video. Your instructions were clear and this video has kept a piece of electronic gear working and out of the landfill. Awesome!
32 Gb micro sd is about the smallest that many stores sell today. If you have to use a larger capacity micro sd, get a USB adapter that will allow you to plug the sd card into your Windows computer. Find a free disk partition utility like Niubi ( there are many others as well ) and install on your computer. When you open that with the SD card plugged in, you should see the SD card in the utility ; likely on the bottom of the screen. Mine was formatted in ExFAT and I had to reformat it as FAT 32 but that can be done in Niubi and only takes a few seconds. Next, create a new volume. As part of that process, click on the circle on the right hand side of the coloured rectangle which represents the size of the volume and drag to the left to resize the volume to 32 GB or less. Be sure to click on "Apply" on the top menu for the changes to take effect. Now you have a 32 Gb micro sd card. Partitioning the micro sd might also work but I haven't tried that.
The remote solar panel needs bright light to recharge. That light can come from the sun or a lamp. I just plug it in to a charger every month or so to insure it is always ready.
Hello! This didn't work for my 2019 E-Golf. "Time adjustment" came up instead of what was shown in this video. Has anyone else had a similar experience and could perhaps share their learnings? Thank you!
WOW, Thank you so much, I've never used a hole saw but doing woodworking I need one, and you're right there are NO INSTRUCTIONS what so ever, so as for me, I really appreciated this video!
I used the HDMI ARC2 cable between receiver and TV. The cable allows devices to communicate thus turning on TV will also turn on receiver for audio. It is very nice when it works correctly. Works with Roku, Tablo and other devices.
Most of my projects don't require a circular saw, but once in awhile I need to do one or two cuts. With this Ryobi, I no longer have to find a loaner. Good to hear the video was helpful.
Your line-in and powered inputs on your subwoofer- are what I wish that soundbars had. That way they can be hooked up as a powered soundbar from the TV, and as a passive center channel speaker from the AV Receiver.... depending on the user's mood.
@@cfldriven - Probably. I think that the input setting on the soundbar has to be switched every time though- either from the TV as a powered speaker, or from the AVR as a passive center channel speaker. If it could switch over automatically, that would be much better.
@@FeedScrn Before buying the Onkyo, I looked at soundbars and decided since I needed to update my 1982 Onkyo setup, it made sense to get the AVR. If we had another TV I would definitely get a soundbar.
@@cfldriven - Well, enjoy. The way that soundbars are presently, we are forced to choose one of those or a passive center speaker. Maybe in the future that will change(?)
I can't believe I chose this video at random and your range and hood are EXACTLY the ones I have, color and all. Thanks for the upload. (I saw one of your replies and I also couldn't find a model number on the range to save my soul). 😆
RU-vid knows everything! Shortly after replacing vent, I updated to the GE induction range. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RO7K5lHk65I.html Recently had to replace the lamps on the GE vent hood. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qUgpLSnRSzc.html Thank you for sharing.
I have both if these and they are both excellent in their own way. XHData is a really good walk around pocket radio that for the price performs way better than it has a right to. The Qodosen is a true portable DXing machine.
@@ditto1958 The XHDATA D109WB has been sitting on the shelf waiting its turn. I only spent enough time to verify that it was working. Not to impressed with the build quality, keypad movement, compared to their other radios, but will learn more in a few weeks.
@@cfldrivenI bought the Qodosen after I got my D-109WB. The DX-286 + an 18650 battery* was twice the price of the D-109WB. The Qodosen is NOT two times as good. In fact, they are both very similar in sensitivity. Build quality of the D-109WB is just fine imho. In pictures, it does look a little cheap, but it’s not. I think they just didn’t spend much time or money on trying to make it look fancy. I’ve been using both radios side by side every day and enjoy them both a lot. The XHData is surprisingly good.
To unmute either push down on the volume button or push it forward to raise the volume and thereby unmuting. Make sure some other remote (Roku) has not muted your system.
I would occasionally post a review on something I had purchased and one day I got an invite. I don't really know what it took to get on their radar. Sorry there is not more to reveal.
Try it on side grain instead of end grain, it's designed for running cables and piping through rafters etc.. Only an auger about 2" could get through endgrain like that and it looks like greenwood so even harder.
I have the latest model, one year old. I rather hate it. The heat characteristic is strange. The very bottom of the food gets really hot but the heat does not migrate up through food to cook evenly so you end up with a burnt bottom and raw center. Also, it's not nearly as fun as cooking on a gas range.
This sounds like it might be an issue with your cookware or too much heat. I find the thicker the better for evenly transferring heat to the food. I almost never go beyond the MED setting and have never had the issue you describe. Thanks for watching.
Dado que la cámara no puede capturar imágenes verticales, lo mejor que puede hacer es grabar un video en formato ancho y usar un programa de edición de video para recortar y dimensionar para uso vertical.

For electronics like TV and PS5 I would get a UPS with full sine wave output. Perhaps something like the CyberPower CST1500S UPS Sine Wave Battery Backup ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M_w1HyVloM4.html
Thanks for the great video! Question-How can you check what resolution you’re watching on Netflix while the movie is playing? Curious, because my Sony TV has a display button which shows the resolution..
While you can get signal info by holding the center round button for off air channels, it does not work for Netflix. Of course Netflix does show if the program is HD or 4K at the start.
backyard creations130 gallon deck box is what i have from Menards and its the same as this.. The lid is the hardest to line up. great video.. My wifes garage sale stuff is going in it.. I told her---> early xmas gift :)
Great video for us tech-challenged folks. Hard to find a video like this that goes through each setting and offers suggestions. I hope this works for the light blurred features of the news reporters, while the static text is still sharp. Is there a way to use 1080p instead of the 4k? I liked my old Samsung clarity better. Thumbs up.
The newer TV with much higher resolution can show the image flaws that were not apparent on your older TV. The best image quality should be straight off the antenna and internet streaming. Cable and dish reception can have issues due to high compression of signal. Thanks for watching.
@@cfldriven I deeply appreciate your reply. I thouht I was going crazy. I may go back to Best Buy and trade my new tV for one that has 1080P that has 4K enhancment like my old TV. You have been of great help.
THE BEST VIDEO ON HOW TO USE THE NEW SAMSUNG REMOTE. Sir, my old Samsung of 8 years finally started to fail. I purchased a new 4k Smart TV. Since I am not a techie at age 70, I had the store install the TV. They hooked everything up so that I could operate the TV via the DISH controller. Fine! Then while testing the channels I noticed that the fixed items on the screen were very sharp and clear, but the newscasters were somewhat blurred compared to my old TV. So, went to youtube to find that others had the same issue and the solution was to use the TV remote to go exploring through the settings. I looked for an instruction manual because as you pointed out in your video, the old big remote was discarded in favor of this tiny rectangula mass wieth fewer buttons. The installers did not go over the TV remote since I thought I would never have to use it. So, I looked around for the ususal big instruction manual that used to be provided and found only two thin pieces of paper, one for the TV and one for the remote that only gave vague descriptions of how to use either one. Sad. The first 5 videos on how to use the remote were too short and fast and only covered the basics. This mornng I found your video on how to use the rmote and it is OUTSTANDING!! You covered each button slowly and with great detail. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you, and thumbs up!
