Excavators are pretty handy as far as digging a basement ect if you could fabricate like a quick tach jib with a hook or winch be great for roof trustes setting metal beams on smaller metal buildings ect very nice machine like the 336D model operatored for a while like the D tail swing as far as visibility out the back window the camera is nice on the F and next gen but the sun glare messes with it sometimes but still all great machines
Great observation 😊 The bucket weighs a couple of tons on its own and if fitted would overload the trailer, so a different truck would carry all of the buckets to site
Great question! It's a requirement for the Australian market where vehicles are normally right hand drive, and left hand drive vehicles need a warning label for other 'road users' (you'd obviously not usually drive it down the road, but it's still a requirement to have road registration). All of our excavators have this sticker :)
In some cases that's the right choice, in others you'd be costing yourself substantially - depends on the machine. Having owned this one from new, knowing the service history and that it's never been overworked, has no mechanical issues and only 6,000 total hours on the clock, it was an easy decision to give it a tidy up. That's correct, it was made in Japan; I think this model was also made in Belgium. These days, practically all Cat excavators for North America/Asia/Oceania are made in Japan, and they're designed there too. Thanks for being a fan!
Our 6 has plenty of power for the type of projects we run, but I've seen them next to mine-spec 9's and they look like toys in comparison! Thanks for being a fan 😊
