Thors lift was so clean. It looked like he had more in the tank. I believe i heard Eddie say that in practice he never go over 470 or something like that. He just couldn't. And i think Thor did the 501 or at least 500 in practice before this.
thats was just such a L move from the Mountain. I would have respected it more if he just went for the 500 and not that little pity 1kg extra. Disrespecting move imo
Thors is questionable, in his own gym, no proper governing body, no one outside the people in his team measuring weights and all the same company setting everything up. He may of been able to lift the weight but eddies is WAY more clear cut
One was done during a proper competition and one was done in a home gym where they could have as much rest as they like, hardly a fair comparions is it?
@@XoticHBGaming I'm not making fun of him, just pointing out that perhaps Eddie wasn't as fully locked out as he should be. It's minor and only knees related as his upper body was pretty erect. I'm a fan of Eddie and think his 500kg lift was a great achievement. I'm just not delusional enough to think that Thor's 501 wasn't legit.
Everything comes down to the apparent question. If Thor could lift 501 kg, then why didn't he do it in an international competition like eddie did? Then nobody would put ❓ on the actual lift. Its as simple as that.
Left , Eddie in front of 10k people in a Championship ,right, in a studio ,screaming and dreaming to beat Eddie Record, Thor in a studio "beat" the record by 1kg😂 Why he dont do that in a Championship like Eddie?
Both of these lifts are incredibly impressive feats, really pushing the boundaries of what the human body can do. Eddie set the bar by lifting 500kg in 2016, while Thor took four years to surpass that record.
Eddie then went ahead and said that it wasn't healthy to lift that much weight. Dude, you hold it for longer than I held my grudge against my father...
@@drae6984u can watch in their debate interview...that's true lifting so called 501 at home gym and plate weighted by his father isn't called world record
Who's the strongest? - Eddie has a tattoo that answers that question🤣🤣🤣 Also, being tall, Thor has to move the weight further than Eddie, and expend more energy (work energy = force x distance).
@@veznan3510 the loser of the fight the two of them had, had to get the winner's name as a tattoo, Eddie lost and got Thor World's Strongest Man as a tattoo
I like both of them, Hafthor just has more physical talent, but Eddie has the mind of a savage. If Eddie had thors physical talent or Hafthor eddies mindset i think the world record would be 510kg or 520kg. Respect for Eddie for being a pioneer and respect for Hafhtor for having the world record even if its only by 1kg
The reality is that Thor would not have even attempted 500kg or above had Eddie not done it first. Eddie showed us it was possible and other people followed after that because of the hope he had given them.
Here’s Thor’s real 501kg attempt ru-vid.comFdDcLQRPRSg?si=9ifcTQkXgg_9KVwh What changed between that attempt and the one in this video? Why was he able to do it so easily at his home gym?
Honestly I don't think they should allow world record attempts at home gyms at all. I don't think they cheated I just think it's such a big moment that it should be done in front of live audiences with world class broadcasting. That's why Eddies lift had so much bigger off an impact. Not to mention he was the 1st in history to do it. Many will follow and the record will be broken again and again. But to be the 1st to hit 500 is like being the 1st man (Bob Hayes) to run Sub 10 seconds on a 100m. Yes many broke his record since but he will always be the one who showed what could be possible as people believed it to be impossible. Same sotry with Eddies 500. He showed that it is indeed possible after many believed it to be impossible
