s/v Cloudy Bay is a Hallberg-Rassy 54 sailing around the world. We keep a sailing & travel blog with the good and bad of day to day life onboard, and this video channel through which we are sharing the bliss and challenges of sailing, the excitement of travels, and the pleasures and frustrations of boat maintenance.

Big thank you to all the subscribers following our journey, we are incredibly grateful for your kind comments and of course, for watching our videos beginning-to-end!
Great set of videos, but Glenn is acting very dangerously not wearing a lifejacket while recording in very precarious positions - if he fell off, you don't get the sense that his mate could singlehandedly sail the boat back to somehow pick him up, especially in rough seas. Very foolish behavior.
Even offline still one of my all time favorite sailing channels by far! And just for the heck of it I'm liking and subscribing! This is more than a sailing channel, it's a cartography of dream sailing destinations, it's a showcase of laid back sailing professionalism. Your view on the world is such a rare and precious one, always paired with some British humor and nonchalance. I wish, you'd carry on and I thank you for the video series you've produced!
@@SailCloudyBay That would be GREAT! I could gain a lot of inspiration from your previous work, both sailing and "attitude"-wise! So, thumbs up again, and hopefully we'll see this channel continue... 🙂
THKS, nice for a break at the desk just lazily watching - I did that leg in the 90s When 6 of us took the FAZISI to Bermuda during the Carib 1500. Yes - the need for speed, and FAZISI has it.
Bonjour à vous deux Je découvre toutes vos vidéos C’est super génial et félicitations pour votre travail vous êtes le Macgaver du bateau Bravo à vous et encore merci pour toutes vos vidéos
Good afternoon to you all. I hope this message finds you very well? I have recently been thinking of you your wife and more importantly your breathtaking boat. The care and attention you have taken maintaining your floating home is second to none. Wherever you are in the world I hope you are enjoying life to the full and are constantly looking for the next sunrise and sunset. Thanks for sharing your life previously and your humour. Take care and best wishes.
@@SailCloudyBay Sad about Cloudy Bay, happy about you. Thank's for the many positive impressions you gave. Good luck in all your adventures and fair winds! 🖖
@@SailCloudyBay ..Hi Glen, is there any chance that your next adventures is something you will share with us? We all hope that you will continue on another sailboat or some other means of travel??
@@SailCloudyBay Did you have any old footage for a Part 7 or 8 Maintenance until you relaunched? Just loved watching your work! I'm a bit sad Cloudy Bay has been sold i thought you three were meant to be together for ever:)
I regret we have no more adventure from you? We miss you. Give us some news; you were fantastic the three of you ,a kiss to cloudy bay and you two/ Pierre henry.
The videos have been amazing. Thanks. We are at Shipwright Harbor across from Herrington Harbor. What a beautiful area! Looking forward to new videos of your next adventure.
Shes such a pretty boat cutting though the water. Or at rest. Wish I could afford her. What an amazing boat. Shes graceful and poised. A great combination. You should be proud to sail on a boat of that caliber.
Absolute top-notch maintenance videos. I'm fascinated with every one. Now I know that if I win the lottery and can afford a boat like yours, I have a treasure-trove of material for reference! I'm sure you have saved a fortune doing all of this yourself and, of course, you have the confidence of knowing how every piece of your boat works and how to fix it!
Gorgeous sailing footage! Also, I loved to see some footage of Montserrat. I sailed on a HR 46 through almost all of the windward islands, but didn't see Saint Vincent or Montserrat. Those great camera angles of your beautiful boat roaring through blue water brings me right back to those days, and inspires me to revisit these amazing islands!
I'm so glad I discovered you guys! These are the most superb boat-project videos I've seen. I fell in love with Hallberg Rassy way back in the 90's after crewing on a beautiful HR 46 called "Wonder Years." I sailed with them through the Caribbean as well as a Pacific crossing to the Galapagos and Marquesas Islands. Glen, your joy in executing all these meticulous projects is contagious, and every sailor can aspire to be as organized, motivated, and efficient as you are in getting all these things done, and done well!
These maintenance videos are fascinating-such attention to detail! You must have a strong back-mine hurts just watching you do the work on ground level. I would definitely recommend a nice folding work table!
Best maintenance video I"ve seen. Slowly, methodically; every detail counts! Your engine room is dreamy! Amazing to see it so clean that you're wearing socks! Hallberg Rassy is my dream boat, and I hope to be doing the same someday!
You guys keep an immaculate boat! Loved watching you get her ship-shape! I hope to someday own a Hallberg-Rassy. I crewed on a H.R. 46 from Antigua to Granada, and Panama to Marquesas and fell in love with that boat!
