PM Dawn! I used to love this song. I remember when KRS 1 jumped on stage and knocked the big dude from the group out in the early 90's. The 90's were a different time man. Clips BANGIN as usual Bro!
actually a great breakdown, I can get into Nose stalls on a high ledge no issue. But translating it into a nose slide has been hard, and now i feel like my issue is that straightening of my frint leg to try and lock in, im forcing too much and straightening too much, if i stay crouched/i think i can lock in the nose slide and eventually a crook
This is great advice imma try it next time i go to the ledge spot i always wondered why i only grinded 2 feet if i ollie into crook on a curb sized ledge and why every time i crooked a bigger ledge i would lock in and fly
Dealing with this after 20 years of skating and getting back on the board. My lower back was screaming at me after a 1hr session. Trying to break this habit
Great breakdown. One thing I've noticed is the straight-legged shootouts to boardslide often result from fear of committing weight over the top of the ledge, so basically pushing the board at the ledge/rail rather than standing over it. I often tell people to be more aware of their head position in relation to the obstacle.
I have some 90's ventures on my cruiser, and the newer ventures don't even compare.. you are correct, tho, trucks were garbage back then, for the most part, but if you've never skated a pair of 90's ventures, there is nothing like it.. when they got bought out, they changed the geometry, and they're just not the same.. that's why sewa still skates those old ventures
I do something a little different, I skate the hardest thunder bushings in my trucks (typically ace) and keep my trucks as loose as possible. the super hard bushings keep me from getting wheel bite, while being able to control my turning.. been skating for 30+ years, and nothing has improved my skating as much as loosening my trucks.. but, yeah, for a beginner, it's ok to start a little tighter.. you never know, one day you might do what ishod does, and use two uppers.. I'm not that extreme
@@AlexNiedt Honestly yeah I have them both pretty good. But once I add the flick to the back180 it feels like a whole different trick and my timing is all wrong
I’m 6’2” with a size 14 shoe. For some reason an 8.25” with a 14” wheelbase feels best for me. Maybe because it’s what I rode when I skated the most in the late 90’s.
