I mean am just here to know if the game is good enough explaining everything just kind of ruins the experience of those of us who havent played the game yet
Party you have to give up on the archers you need infantry if you want to beat the Baron and not lose half your men. You also will not have any chance to get mercenaries other than the wayward sons because the Baron has them permenently hired.
Just picked this up. Always thought 40k was awesome design wise. Played Chaos Gate when it came out because I've really liked XCOM-style games and really liked it too. So I was really interested in this one to dive into a bit more lore deep of 40k. Great video but now my nose is bleeding from all the thinking my brain need to do now 😅
the war for kingdom tip blows my mind... I didn't know that shit, man!!!! I should be the emperor of the frenchs months ago!!! mother f*cker! I'm struggling to conquer a lot of independent aquitanian states
A suggestion for the name is Mittelburg. It means middle castle in German. You can also use the Dutch translation: Middelburcht. It might be interesting to know that Flanders was one of the richest regions for a long time in the Middle Ages. This is due to the specialization in processing English wool into fabrics such as silk. Maybe you can use this approach for a new region soon where you may focus on making clothing, ...
I think a glaringly obvious addition to this video would be: Don’t ignore domain. I saw a lot of people just conquer land and never bother building up their holdings.
….. man screw Marina. I bet you 100,000 gold she won’t tell her what she did. And all seriousness to all veterans of DND who know about hags would they often do that or they just eat the child ?
Suggestuons for the new town: Ziegelhausen (tile home) Lehming (Lehm is clay and "ing" a common ending for town names, derives from place, I think) Lehmstett (again, clay and -stett is like Stadt, meaning town or city)
Why don't you make two garrison towers in the first city and make a manor building plus tower in the second city. That will increase the number of your troops
It would make sense for you to focus on defensive structures (walls and towers) around addelsball due to the recent invasion. Also it would look really good to incapsulate the town in walls
Never been SUPER into war hammer but this game got explained to me as a baldurs gate 3 clone set in a almost apocalyptic universe. Honestly I think I like this game more than bg3. Not by much but still solid game! Feels like I’m reading a very good book whenever I play
Thank you for this series man. If anyone's searching for a sound historical introduction to the manorial system (military, society, etc.) I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt. Anything agricultural, tactical, urban is covered in ultra-depth. Keep up with the amazing work! Love, Jacques
All the videos I find have the same flaw. They talk about the MaA buildings like you have the option for any and all of them from the start. I start in 867 so...
i binged this whole series for dayyyyyys great job pal. i really love the layout and organization of eisendorf. once you started assigning families based on distance it really helped everything run more smoothly.
I don't know if you come back to older vids, but I wanted to add on to something you said at around the 45 minute mark. You mentioned that churches were central to towns of the period, which is true but the other central feature that started being seen around this period were markets. They were, in an over simplified fashion, the Malls of the Medieval world and local Lords made money off of them. Love the series and sorta re-listening to them as I play.
