Nice! Just realized I pass by this mall all the time when I go to Pennsylvania because I mostly visit Hersheypark, Lancaster and Mountville. I normally stay at a hotel in Mountville and that's right next to Lancaster lol.

I used to work at EBgames there. Lots of memories. Don’t understand why people want to drive to 15 different strip malls to shop while malls fall apart. Miss the good times before cell phones. This was social media when people were actually social.
For those wondering, it's still around, and it's still occupied, but they refuse to fix the big, open areas. So people with acrophobia can have a better shopping experience
This is a nice store. Unfortunately given the state of the mall it's in and the sparse inventory in the store, I think Macy's will soon close this location.
It would make more sense to close one floor completely and move all the products to the other floors. That way it wouldn't be so obvious that the store's too big for the volume of sales, while these spread-out displays fool no one.
July 2024 Update: I know everyone is aware that this location reopened in fall 2023, but unfortunately, it was just announced recently that this store would once again close. Check out Chris Cronins channel for more information.
Does anyone remember walking in from the mall, they had a ball being held up by a vacuum cleaner? I dont know why it intrigued me as a kid. I don't live there now bye old friend
Noooooooo there’s one in Manteca but on the updates, nobody said it was closing yet and it says it’s still open but who knows maybe after a few days it’s going to close
Not Another one! Are we Less than 10 stores now which could soon drop all the way down to zero with also online retailer shutting down as well, which Also means a Full Liquidation, shutting down entirely like Sears Canada?!?!?! PLEASE DONT LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!!😥😢😭
When a new business come in, they might end up removing the escalators + staircase and elevators since any possible new business coming in might only take one of the floors (probably the top floor)
My hometown.... Used to go there a TON as a kid, but the last 10 years or so, it's been hanging on to a thread and always looked dead. It's sad, but it's long overdue for it to shut down/
This was one of my regular stopping points when I would drive from Queens to Rochester. Always loved this mall's layout- how it went from "huh, this is a little bleak" to "OMG IT OPENS UP MORE?" That game store was also a major distributor for the board game "Gloomhaven" when it first entered wide release- I ordered it off their ebay shop and they let me pick it up on my drive a month later. Last time I was there (around 2019 I wanna say), I saw plans to make a promenade on the entry wall, but that was in the Before Times. Good to see its still there as of 2023.
At one point Sears had more than 1,000 stores under their name. They held the title as The largest department store chain in The United States. Sears was also the largest retail chain in The United States for decades. Kmart then took the title as the largest retail chain, and held it for another decade before Walmart came along and claimed it. Now Walmart faces intense competition from Amazon. Transformco lists on their website the available Sears and Kmart locations nationwide. The website also lists the remaining open stores as well. Transformco was created by Lambert, and that is where the assets of Sears and Kmart were transferred before the bankruptcy filing. Sears did reopen two locations, and has said more are going to follow as they transition into a new retailer. I have yet to see any reopenings, and will believe it when I see it.
