Seems like a good idea but an iPhone/iPad is terrible on the water. For one, screen is to dim to be used in bright sunlight. It’s ver hard to see. And secondly, it can’t take the temperature extremes. After being used in the sun for a short period, it will over heat and shut off. Their batteries also don’t like cold temp and their will be much shorter run times in these conditions. I used to use a iPad for mapping and it was a waste of time. This device may actually be worse than nothing because nothing would be free.
Being there 20 ft behind the front. These will not scare the fish like the front trolling motor does. When the prop wash will make crappie run like mad.
I'm waiting to receive additional equipment, mounts for side scan transducer, wireless router, etc. I should have everything within the next two weeks. I will make several videos once I receive the equipment. Thanks for watching and commenting.
one more Queston. I just seen where that have the normal transducer , I'm assuming using the wife router you can connect both the transducer and the live transducer and toggle between them on the iPad. am i correct ?
I can't wait to get my hands on this. We fish out of our little duck boat a lot for crappie on little WMA lakes. You never know if you are wasting your time in a spot and need to move. This will be a game changer.
@@bernardobojorquez4232 I’m not working with Livescanner anymore. I was told by several people they pulled my code. Not sure why since they don’t have to pay me anything on the sell.
if you want something like this, check out DEEPER SONAR. ...this seems like it would be a good idea...except your phone or tablet will eventually over heat.... and this heating will shorten the life span of your phone... trust me... I speak from experience
Be like everything else those short men make it will work for a week then right to the burn barrel.. but it could be good for us give garmin some competition.. bird and lowrance sure aint.. their live sonar looks worse than what the short men are making.. So glad im 6'3 could you imagine
We all know we are getting ripped on these screens we are buying.. 1500 for a 10 inch screen you can buy a 12 inch laptop for 200 bucks 50 inch tv 250. I knew someone would come up with this. I use livescope its awesome but Garmin really does stick it to us
I have a Deeper Chirp +2, not the best sonar in the world but it's a sonar. And the worst thing about it by a far is that it doesn't have a dedicated screen, the trouble connecting to the unit and the battery drain on the phone is immense. I'm looking at buying a separate, expensive unit simply to have a separate screen and I also want a larger 9 inch screen too. This is bad.
It looks interesting. I'm wondering about the performance and comparison to existing live sonar systems. And it's good to see an Android version coming out in the future.
I will admit the images are MUCH better than I expected. I would have to assume this is paid for Garmin technology. How big a company are they as far as any needed warranty goes. As said, a tablet is so hard to see in sunlight and it WILL overheat when processing all that data. They are better off developing their own monitor and getting rid of all the routers, dongles and gadget. Sounds good to be portable but will be impractical. Totally guessing here, but they have I would think may go for around $500??? They need to do an all included set up with monitor for under a grand IMO.
I asked to demonstrate the Unit and no response from the company ..So with that said this is what I see as downfalls, a dongle to iPad , I do this for work and a wore out dongles and broke ports on my ipad ..So I do see the wireless version the ticket and well then again, no demo on that to see if there is lag ..any lag on real time fishing will suck and from what I get from them only one phone can be used wireless ..I do not like that no price has been set on anything yet. So will I invest in one maybe, but we need more info ..
@@ninjakiller07 I agree, wireless option will be the way to go. I should be testing and making more videos once I receive the wireless system end of this month. I have been told there is no lag and you can use up to 4 devises at the same time. The price should be available soon since they are going to release the product by end of year. I will post more details as I receive them from Accuphy. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video....i thought this would be similar to Lowrance Eagle Eye 9, but, that product seems to have a much smaller cone, and no side scan. This, looks like an affordable way to get live sonar, and totally transferable. I'm very interested!!
The sonar products will be launched by the end of 2024. Android support will be released in mid-2025, and it is future proofing, i.e. existing hardware will be supported by future app releases, both IOS and Android. I’m testing the product for the company, that’s why I have the sonar equipment.
@@StanStoneFishing sounds great very interested, are you still a fan of this unit. I've been in contact with the company , looking to order as soon as launch
@@616_overlanders9 I stopped working with Livescanner a couple weeks ago. There have been others that tried to use it and they would not accept the code.
Per Garmin, if U have Garmin MFD - no need to do manual calibration. At least that is how I read the manual. Am I incorrect? But good video nonetheless.
Thanks that video. Seems to be same quality that on humminbird. Pretty bad picture after 15 meters (forward mode). Too bad but I hope they will get it better. Two years ago I waited megalive and sold it away pretty fast. Garmin is still the best on my opinion, but also most expensive
Well I’m not impressed. I don’t have livescope, it’s too expensive for me to spend on in these tough times. I may buy one at some point but I’m pretty sure I like to just fish rather than stare at a screen. A simple fish finder and depth indicator is just fine. 😊
buy all this stuff and in 1 year the app will no longer work or be supported, cie will disappear, Apple will also eventually block the program... only hope the equipment gets ported to android and the community puts something out for it for android because this will not last long I guarantee it.
