This channel is for Anime fans that also enjoy wrenching on cars and various things. I'm just starting off with absolutely nothing except for my 2015 Honda Fit EX. Stay tuned.
@@ajgrows i mean its just not smart. Also yea you need a windage tray for sloshing. I mean you dont drive a car fast around corners untill you have the proper setup.
@officaldjflo thanks for the advice. Definitely learned a lot from the fort motor. I'm addressing the windage tray on the 2nd motor I'm building for the Kswap.
I know it’s been a while since this video was posted. Just want to see if you were able to find the problem with the check charging system. I’m going through the same problem and been trying to find what it can be. Some say they’ve changed the battery others said the alternator and the issue was gone. Different cars different issues. One gentleman said that he took a pretty thick gauge cable and put one end on the battery + and the other end to the alternator. He said it’s been fixed with no issues at all. He stated the alternator wasn’t getting enough battery power for whatever reason which I don’t know but he said it’s been fixed and no issues. Just want to see if you had any luck. Thanks
Hello Scotty, hope all is well. I have a quick question that maybe you can help me. I have a 2015 Honda fit Ex-L and my check charging system came on my dash and I have a few warning labels on dash. The battery was old and I changed it everything was fine for 24hrs and again it started with the same check charging system. I’m thinking maybe it’s the alternator or the serpentine belt. The car did have a a dead battery a couple of times but it hasn’t went dead after driving the car. Any ideas or anything you think may be the problem or do you recommend anything that may help. Thanks Scotty
Hey man, been watching you for years. My partner and I both drive GK5 Fits and we love your build. Congratulations! That looked so much fun. Maybe we will K Swap our Fits someday; do you think a K20C1 will fit? The turbo might be too much lol.
If the K24 fits, the K20C1 will Def fit too. I'm currently building a 2nd K24 for the Fit in prep for boost. The ultimate goal is 800 HP. First aiming for 400.
This is so badass, I will watch every video you make about this car. K-swapping a GK5 is amazing I wish I could doit to mine. Please continue doing videos with this car!!!
I got the same error a few days after getting my used 2015 Fit. It didn't affect anything on the car though. Today I replaced my original 151r battery and installed a bigger 51r, the code is no longer there. IDK if it will come back but I drove like 30 miles today and it's doing just fine.
I replaced everything including the charge harness , alternator, battery sensor associated fuses with not improvement. I K-swapped it and now im much happier.
Sup man, thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you watching the full video buy the tittle does say "still unresolved". Not being an a$$, but there's nothing deceiving or misleading about it. Cheers man
The tittle literally says unresolved. The purpose of the video was to see if a anyone else has the same issue and perhaps figured out what the problem is since I couldn't. It's YT dude, chill.
Gracias pero ni creó que sea la compu. Ya le cambie to relacionado con el sistema de carga y sigue igual. Asta le ice un K-swap con compu diferente y nada.
I love you bro. I didn’t think the gk had mounts are those the GE Mounts from hasport and they work some how? Sorry if this was explained in your other videos but this is the first one I saw. I thought I had to get a different car but I think I’ll try this on my own when I can.
@ajbreaks Thanks. Haven't had time to go thru them all just yet. But plan too. I'll make sure to have pen/paper to list stuff. Lol. Makes shit easier for me. It will be summer when my LS/335i is up and going, and then I will end up throwing the Fit in the garage for the swap K-swap. (Yes I have issues with stock engines in cars)
Had same issue. Everything else checked out fine. Ended up being a bad ground. The one on the passenger side motor mount for me. Had to load test it with a headlight bulb to find it as ohming it out and checking voltage with a multimeter it showed fine.
Is there enough room to remove the valve coverr if you remove the cowling or is it like 2nd gen where if you need to do any sort of work the whole engine has to come out?
Few questions… -What rad are you running and what hoses did you make work to do it? -fuel line connection? How did you make it work? -are you running hondata or just the stock ecu? -o2 sensor from civic? Thanks
I'm running the stock GK radiator. The rad hoses are the PLM Kswap set. The top port hose gets used as is. The bottom port hose needs to be trimmed at the right curbe. It's easy to see when mocking up the motor. Fuel line is from a 2013 Civic Si, fits as is with a little re-routing. I'm running a 2014 Civic Si ECU because my car is a push button. If your car has a Keyes ignition then you will need a ECU from keyed ignition ition swap. Only using the GK primary O2 sensor on a Skunk2 catless down pipe.
I was finally able to fix it. In my case it was the alternator. Just make sure that when you buy a new one, they test it before you walk out the door with it. Advance sold me 2 bad alternators, the 3rd one after testing it finally passed. After getting it installed the message finally disappeared.
