Can you do a video showing us how to shrink something down to fit in the A5 planner from an 8 1/2 x 11 stickers sheet? Or any other sheet?. I have an HP printer that I think might be the same one I’ve seen you mention in a video before. However, talking to HP they can’t understand. There’s a communication barrier. I cannot find it in the settings or on the HP Smart app. Maybe it’s something I can find on the computer, but I was wondering if you could show us how you do it. 😊
I think the best tutorial on this is a blog post by Mom Envy. Here is a link: momenvy.co/resize-planner-printables-size-planner/ This has helped me a ton. Hopefully it is helpful to you too.
I really enjoyed the video. I am so new to plannersf. I was wondering how the inserts were made and the video showed up in time. Im trying to get everything in one place to get started. Im not so worried about the decoration of the pages as I am the functionality, placement of the pages. Keep making the videos...Thanks
Thank you for this wonderful content! Great ideas I'm working on implementing. Can someone tell me how to create the separate tabs such as Projects, Areas, Resources & Archives? It's like they are separate notebooks but they aren't. Lol. Thank you!
Your videos are always so inspirational. Last year I started something similar, but I got a bit ambitious and then didn’t get very far with it. Lol. I have four larger journals by Design Works, each in a different color and each designated to the four seasons. Although, I have since decided that I don’t really need a separate book for spring so I may combine spring/summer. We will see. Each notebook will have similar things to each other, including inspirational photos, poems about the season, decor ideas with photos, recipes and lists lists lists (many similar to yours). The plan is to keep each one on my bookshelf, but the current one on my coffee table for easy reference. I filled the fall one with quite a bit of information and left about 25% of the pages blank to add more ideas as they come up. I didn’t get very far on spring summer, but I’m collecting things for my winter notebook so I can get a head start on it. I don’t plan to do one of these each year. Mine is more of a reference. I will use it in conjunction with my planner. My adult kids are always asking me to repeat favorite recipes and activities so I thought if I put them all in the book, they could have it someday to refer to. You have included a lot of things that I haven’t thought about so once again, thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you!! I was going through journal Bordem. You gave me such huge inspiration on a new project!! This will help get me organized!! I would love to see more of that 10 yr old book as it looked like there are some great ideas in there as well. Thank you again!!
This was exactly what I was looking for. This is my first full year of organized planning, using dollar store supplies and a lot of social support. Do you also use dialogue with trusted people to reflect on your goal progress? I love the idea of integrating prayer into my planning process, it makes total sense. Half way into 2024 I find it most difficult to identify and celebrate milestones. I've accomplished a lot, but other people have to point it out to me.
Kind of terrified of thinking of the holidays right now but love this planner idea of yours. Looks great! Maybe by September I'll be more ready for doing something like this.
It's never too early to start to plan for something. Christmas gifts can be made or bought as early as January. Maybe include a review page as in what went very well and what was a bit of a disaster, so you can repeat/avoid it next year.
Thank you! You are the best! You have just motivated me to get started! I will follow along so I hope you do a lot of different Christmas planning videos! 🎉I don't have FB but that's ok! 😢
Thank you for making this video. I cannot wait to start next year with many of these great ideas! It really helps me take my planner to the next level and find a use for every single thing. Thank you! Thank you!
I recently started using the Sterling Ink Common planner. It has a similar monthlies and weeklies setup to Hobonichi but the back is just plain pages with a light grid and tiny number down in the corner. There's enough for one each day but no printed dates on the pages. It might be worth considering as a more flexible dailies layout.
I just CAN NOT. It feels like you crawled into my brain and like a magician showed me the answer to my problems. Ive recently transitioned from bedside nurse to Clinical Manager. I width and breath of my role has made time and task management utterly overwhelming. So many links, projects, moving parts, pivoting. Always pivoting. Every time I think I find a solution it works for a week before it falls apart because it's not COMPREHENSIVE like this!! And I think this might just do it for me. My brain hurts at just how well this could work for me. THANK YOU!!
Love your videos. Yes, I would love to see more detailed reflection process. This would help. I am in the process of redoing my planner and putting my spiritual goals up front because when they are in the back, I tend to forget that they are there. This is my next step with putting God first in my life. I thought I was doing that in my daily life and as I was sitting here watching your video, I realized that my Spiritual growth section was in the back of my planner. God first and He will take care of the rest.
Love this! I realized that my walk with Jesus was not a section of my planner but the centerpiece of my life. Everything else is just the supporting details. 🥰
This video was excellent. I knew the difference between a project and a task but struggled to incorporate the projects into my planner to plan well. This was so helpful. Thank you!!
I am such a good planner, but you are a GREAT planner and that’s what I love. I’m good at managing day to day things-I can get up, workout, come home, get the children off to school, get myself off to work, come home, do our after school routine, cook, clean and put everyone to bed. I’ve come to understand that this type of planning is VERY different than finishing a degree, working towards a promotion, working towards new employment, working towards switching industries. Often times people use ‘tasks’, and ‘goals’ in their planner interchangeably…they should not be used as such. I used to think I didn’t have goals (because I have children and I thought maybe I shouldn’t worry about working towards anything and just focus on them 🥴) but I certainly do. What’s good is I have thought about, wrote down and even outlined many of my goals but they are not in an orderly fashion. Even though I fully understand your system at times it seems so complex for me to go beyond identifying my goals and probably because they are so objective or maybe because I am in a season where fully developing them isn’t possibly; I certainly think this may be it but I don’t know. I know all too well about S.M.A.R.T. goals but I often wonder HOW can I measure/track working towards such subjective career advancement. YES PLEASE for a glimpse into your reflection process and also, an example of a mock personal goal being carried through each of your steps would be great. Thank you for this awesome video🫶🏾
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing all this wisdom. It was just what I needed, as I'm about to do my weekly review (which I do in a separate inexpensive notebook to give myself plenty of space to reflect and evaluate). I especially appreciate those excellent questions. What am I dreading? What energizes me? What accomplishments can I celebrate? What adjustments do I need to make? Time. Expectations. Goals. Am I making progress on my monthly goals? What does success look like?
I would love to see your work goals process. I love your work planning videos. I really don't have time to worry about how "Suzy puts planner stickers all over their EC planner this week and reminds themselves to put lotion on their face and wash a load of clothes. I need to know how to keep up with my daily to dos and deadlines with my planner and my ADHD brain, owning and running two businesses with staff etc. There are a few things I want to track for my personal life and for sanities's sake, faith journal etc. That's why I love your bj videos. They are more functional than fluffy 😅. There is certainly a market out there for fluffy planning, but there just isn't much for professional planning with today's digital gadgets. It actually becomes confusing because it's a hybrid of Google, Microsoft, other programs that don't completely mesh together. And then I get oCD trying to make something work for ME and my needs.
I am not really a heavily goal-oriented person as I am currently a stay-at-home mom but I do set some personal goals I'd like to achieve. A video about the reflection process would be helpful I think. Thank you for sharing.
I too am trying to find a system that carries from year to quarter to month to week to each day. I set my goals, and then after the first month I forget about them and find myself engrossed in the day to day life. I also love ❤that you bring prayer and faith into your planning! Any more attention to details videos you can create works for me!!
It is probably my bad eyesight. I was unable to read the prompts you keep in your bullet journal. I struggle with goals. Not with the setting. More like keeping up with doing the tasks/habits. I rather need to figure out how to show up for myself. 😅
