thanks, mine was very dirty but it also leak on the right side, the other vent. I am looking into that section- to see where it comes from. Water is cold.
01 odyssey. At highway speed the van veers right when foot taken off accelerator. The steering wheel a actually ticks slightly left when this happens. Then the van corrects itself when accelerator is pressed again. And goes back to straight. There is tiny tie-rod play both sides. Tires have even wear. Van cluncks front left when accelerating after coming to a complete stop. Front and upper right motor mounts were just replaced. My nephew replaced both struts and springs about a month ago. Passrnger side vertical control arm bushing has some cracking. Van has 191,000 miles. All rubber suspension bushings were replaced at 135,000. Plus motor and tranny mounts.
@@meridianjumper i plan to do a quick alignment check with strings. And rotate tires I did another check today. All bushings seem ok. I am getting a clunk from driver side inner tie-rod. Both inner tie-rods have movement. But very slight. The van gets squirrely when lifting of accelerator. It just doesn't feel like an out of alignment issue. I will be gone for a week. I will try to update later. Thanks for input
So I just replaced both sides inner and outer tie-rods. And still have movement and clunking. It turns out the lower control arm horizontal bushing is clunking when grabbing left and right side of tire and torquinig it back and forth. I removed the bolt and rotated the lower control arm out. The bushing looks fine. But the bolt is very loose when slid back into the bushing. This is where all the play and knocking is coming from. Should there be a brass sleeve inside the bushing?
@@golfish8589 Generally speaking there should be some sort of metal tube that runs through the center of the rubber part of the bushing to give it some rigidity. Most of the time when you purchase something with a bushing, the metal tube/support should already be installed. However, I have seen it on fewer occasions where the manufacturer doesn't install that tube and relies on the customer/end user to push it through the rubber.
@@meridianjumper There is a inner tube with id of real close to 9/16 inches a ok looking bolt with real close to .5 od. Two auto stores near me will have bushing for me to compare in the morning. I may stop by Ace Hardware and pick up a 9/16 bolt and see if it fits. The inner tube does not look worn
Those Molex style batteries are everywhere! I first started buying these for my Hubsan X4 drone about 7 years ago. However, good luck charging them with a good r/c charger.
I would just like to thank you so much. You saved me from being impulsive and buying new dishwasher. Mine has been ripping water at the vent escape!!!!!!!! My grandpa found your video and I cleaned the diaphragm and instantly no leaking….. you guys please try this it works!!!!!!!!!! I will be doing this every few weeks thank you again
Wonderful video. I have cleaned the filter, inspected the seals, have taken it out to look for leaks, let it sit for weeks to dry out and nothing stopped the HEAVY indication or the leaks. This took about 15 minutes and last night, no leaks from the left side, AND no water spilling out when I open it in the morning from the steam vent. THANKS. I was very close to buying another one because of the frustration.
I had creaking, starting about a year ago, when turning at low speed and accelerating from a stop in a 2010 Odyssey (model year prior to that addressed by TSB 11-038). Greasing the top of the front struts resolved it. I'm surprised that the strut bump stops are in contact with the top of the strut body. Maybe that happens as the springs age and sag a bit? I used Honda Shin Etsu silicone grease, as described in TSB 11-038. Any silicone grease is likely just as good, but this was a good excuse to get myself a tube of Honda's famed Shin Etsu silicone grease. p.s. I didn't check the strut nuts, there was no need, but I have had one loosen on another car and it produced a distict clunk noise that was nothing like the creaking noise caused by bump stops contacting the strut damper body.
What! The wheel pivots left and right on two points, the lower ball joint and the strut bearing at the top of the spring. Its either one or the other part making noise while turning the wheel. Normally the strut bearing is bad if popping noise while turning. Look up bad strut bearing video to see spring binding and popping because of bad bearing.
This might not be the fix as there are multiple causes of this type of noise. This video is for the noise from the strut which Honda released a service bulletin for.
This clip helped to solve my case which is 10 times worse under that round cover. My Samsung dishwasher is 9 years old and never got any cleaning or maintenance under that round area.
Having this problem with my dishwasher. Took the plate off and eww!!!, loaded with gunk. Even if it doesn't fix my leak (haven't run it yet) am glad to know how gross this area gets so I can keep on top of it
While accelerating here. Thanks! Other video on here said to take apart more stuff. Good to know this is easier and quick!! How about the back ones? Same?
You may need to tighten the front center nut on struts also there’s been issues with them coming un-torqued & it causes a popping sound also my 2011 Odyssey EX was lose on the drivers side.
I hope this solves the issue I was checking the bottom for leaks as the moisture sensor was being activated and could not find any issues other than dirt around the door. When I checked this location there was definitely build up. Running test now.
Ok ran second test and it leaked again, however upon checking found additional gunk at door bottom gasket, which I cleaned. Have run another test and 2 loads of dishes since and appears repaired. THANK YOU
I am glad that this was able to help with another model. I will add this to the video description so others with the DW80J3020US might find it as well. Thank you for the comment.
Thanks. This worked so far. Had to reassemble after repositioning to avoid massive leak and tighten screw just enough. But I'm so glad to know I don't need to buy a new dishwasher, which my husband was ready to do.
That is good to hear. I love fixing things around the house versus replacing them until it doesn't make sense financially. Thank you for letting me know this worked well for you.
Boy I hope this is my problem. I'm 90% sure it is. I just check my dishwasher and it's exactly the same door guts. Yes it's a samsung. I'll do it tomorrow morning. Thank you
Thanks so much for your advice. I followed your instructions. So much gunk - gross! I hope it works. If not, I suspect it could be the rubber gasket along the bottom of the dishwasher door. I was wiping it to remove gunk and pieces of rubber broke off. I guess it has lost elasticity over the years and become brittle. There is now a gap along the bottom edge. I'm wondering if that rubber piece (different from the gasket along the sides and top) will need replacement? Happy Easter, folks.
I am very glad I came upon this video after searching for a fix for my Samsung dishwasher (model DW80F600). Although I have run it once since doing your fix, it seems like it leaked more. I will give an update after I run it a second time as you suggested.
Tried this, didn’t work for me. If your Ody sounds like an old pirate ship with creaking at low speed turns it’s the drive axels and wasn’t too bad to fix.
jcontradiction yeah I replaced them over the weekend and it fixed the creaking and popping noises. Both drive axels looked perfectly fine and the boots were not bad.
@@billhodges6547 did it sound like this? ru-vid.com/group/PLn5IhraTCbZSbd6RztpjkoFJHt03DNU91 I am 1500+ in chasing this sound. Today I had shocks and struts replaced...sound continues.
You are my HERO! It worked like a charm!😁👍👍👍👍 Edit: is there a fix for the bottom right vents? Totally fixed leaks from the middle vents but the vents to the right let go a few drops
That is good to hear. I have had issues with the bottom vents too but fixed that before I did this video. I no longer have the dishwasher either as I have moved houses.
NMSB38 Its hard to get it on video or audio. It is a pop sound from that area of the van. It can be “felt” more than heard sometimes in the steering wheel.
I have a problem with my pilot I hear sow thing metal hitting metal ur it sounds like it's a piece of metal gangi v n when I hit a Lil rough street then I hear the clanking sound of metal on metal. All my feint suspension is brand new the away bar li ka r good only thing I didn't change out was the struts/shocks. The noise is coming from the front driver side
This was extremely helpful! Bought this unit new, never cleaned that out for four years. It was leaking pretty bad. This fixed it instantly! Also, good tip on making sure the fins are put back properly. Knowing my luck I would have put it on backwards if you hadn’t mentioned that. Thanks for the video. You tube actually can be useful, it’s just not full of trolls!
In a million years I would never had gone this route but my dishwasher had this very leak a few days ago and this fixed it. Thank you so very much, saved me a lot of headache and money!!!
