Can't tell you how helpful this video is! I have been researching Epson Eco Tank printers for several months trying to find the best fit for the things I print, and have been leaning toward either an Epson 8500 or 8550. One of those things is stickers for my planner, and the tip you gave about the dye ink and what settings to choose has been very helpful!!! Thank you so much!!! Can you only print one page at a time from the rear/top like you shared with us, or will it hold several sheets at a time? I like to print using Koala double sided matte paper (48 lb.) for my paper crafts, and would like to print a multi-page pdf without having to load and print a single sheet at a time, if possible.
@@AdrianasPaperCrafts That's really good to know! Have you perchance used that particular weight Koala paper with the 8550 in the rear paper tray, or a similar weight?😍
@pinkpearlsandplans yes, I've used up to 110# cardstock and it works just fine. That's really the beauty of a rear paper tray, the paper goes in really easily, so you don't have to worry about a paper jam, or anything like that.
You answered so many questions that I had! What large format printer do you have? Doesn’t it smell bad when you cut the foam? I can barely stand the smell! How do you make a stand to support the prop?
I used my Canon Pixma ix6820 for this project, but nowadays I use the Epson et8550 printer. It really doesn't smell as you work the way I did, which is kind of quickly. It smells more if you leave a piece of foam there to burn away. Like if a piece of foam got stuck on the hot wire and you just left it there, then yes, there is a chemically smell.
For a beginner, I would recommend any Canon printer. I personally REALLY believe in the Canon Pixma ix6800, but it could be out of your price range, so lower end Canons will work well too, or even an HP printer that comes with instant ink. They'll print more slowly though, and may or may not be able to use glossy photo paper.
These are good labels I've used thousands of them from this brand. It takes time for the glue to set and cure on the box that's why you can peel it without ripping. But if you do remove it don't re-position instead print a new one because it can start to peel in transit and get your package lost.
@@AdrianasPaperCrafts No problem. I thought I would save you a headache it happened to me once already. In the winter if you ship to anyone in a cold climate most stickers don't stay on the package. These do but if you reposition it's likely to peel off.
Please help lol. How do I print on koala round sticker labels. I have an HP computer idk if that matters. I’m seriously new to this and windows does not have koala as a label vendor
If you mean how to perfectly print onto a sheet of round labels, then I would personally go back to the Koala package and see if it comes with any instructions. Usually anything like that gives instructions so you are sure to print on the right spot.
Yes you can. For example, create the black and white design on canva, save to your phone. Then upload your saved creation into the Nelko app, and print it out. Viola!
I got it but not sure about the best setting for stickers. Pictures comes out amazing but I tried different settings for the waterproof vinyl paper (inkject) and they are not coming out good. Any suggestions?
You have to set it to matte since that kind of sticker paper is matte. I can't remember off the top of my head which specific matte setting I use, but I don't think it matters too much as long as you're using a matte setting.
I have converted my epson 8550 and my teal color turns out dark blue i cant seem to fix this. I tried color mode adobe rgb gamma 2.2 then i went into the slide bar i raise +10 the cyan with no better result. i also tried -10 cyan with same result. My blue which im using the hexcode #1ca2db just comes out dark blue. i also did a head cleaning and a nozzle check and everything is fine no line break what so ever. However when i print a test color page with a teal color , the teal color comes out a blue aswell. I am at a lost.....And i tried printing a mouse pad at 400F for 50sec the teal color still comes out a dark blue. Can someone help me ...
Uh oh. Did you use a roll of labels that came with your thermal printer, or did you buy the labels separately? I've read reviews of some labels not being that great.
@AdrianasPaperCrafts Thank you so much! I'm making my great nephew coloring books for his 1st birthday party and I cannot wait to see how they turn out :) thanks for the help
Very helpful review. Thank you. I just ordered mine directly from Nelko. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I also own a previews model Nelko printer like yourself and I love it. Cant beat inkless printing.
I have a whole video on my Epson 8550, but it's very expensive. A cheaper alternative is the Canon Pixma ix6820. I absolutely love it. And I suggest getting ink for it on inkjets.com
Hi what program do you use to print the designs I just got mine, I’m new to this I use Mac desktop just don’t know where to upload my designs and send it to the printer your feed back would be super helpful thanks.
@@AdrianasPaperCrafts thank you yes because I’m just starting to print and my color come out super light or my images look blurry I’m gonna try on canvas see if that help with my colors thanks again!
Hi, randomly came across your profile on what paper to use for custom chip bags and was truly impressed with your kindness and willingness to help others so I subscribed and seen this video. I am truly grateful you are willing to acknowledge that mental illness is real. I also suffer from depression and some people truly don't get how low a person can actually feel. I give you so many praises to share your journey with this illness. Keep going you are doing amazing. YOU ARE AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING. Sending positive and happy vibes your way for you and your son.
@@AdrianasPaperCrafts yeah I like what you done the most useful video so far but only thing missing how you place you composition together and the method to finish it off all in the design software
Are there recommended settings for the sliders? Seems crazy that anyone would need to adjust individually for each image on such an expensive printer (I have the 5150)
It has its factory settings, not "suggested" settings. So you can reset the settings to what they were originally. I don't have to adjust the sliders for every single image. I just do it on images where I have a ton of like 1 color. But also, if you let Photoshop be the one to determine the quality in the pring settings, it usually comes out more accurate.
@@AdrianasPaperCraftsthanks for your reply. I guess I meant, is there a certain way you leave your sliders 99% of the time to produce decent results? I'm using just Windows to print images (no Photoshop or other programs) and every photo is turning out extremely dark and blue. People online have said that Windows + the printer might be applying some kind of correction at the same time which is messing itself up but I literally have no clue where I'd find those settings. I've tried contacting Epson but no luck 😬
Just found your channel today and watched the Minnie cake topper video and thought it was super useful and easy to follow so I subscribed. Then randomly clicked on this video, I hope things have improved for you and that it keeps getting better. Very selfishly I want you to keep doing what you’ve been doing 😊. But seriously I am sending positive thoughts your and your sons’ way.
Thank you so very much 🤗 I appreciate your kind words more than you know. Thankfully these days I'm doing alot better. If you ever have any video requests, don't hesitate to ask!
This printer is inexpensive BUT you will waste a LOT of labels using this printer. When you first load the labels, it feeds about 8 labels through while it is positioning the labels for printing. These labels are then unusable . Next, after printing 4 or 5 labels, the labels are positioned wrong, so you will get part of your print job on one label, and part on the following label. Spend the extra money and buy a DYMO.
I've been using this printer for all of shipping labels, which get printed a few times a week, and I've yet to have an issue..in fact, I need to buy more labels for it because I'm about to run out.
Hi. How many pages can you staple together? I have a poem that id like to make into a coloring book. I'm glad I came upon your site first as I thought to make my letters to color also but had no idea to that font which is cool .
I've only ever stapled like 9 or 10 pages at once. I haven't tried more than that. It works as a regular stapler, so just because it looks different doesn't mean it would work any different from a regular stapler.
Hello Hello! Love the video, I would like to know if it prints on 300gsm paper? I do a lot of covers and there all on 300gsm, any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
It should as long as you use the rear paper tray. And you may have to insert one paper at a time into the paper tray to make it work since it's so thick.
