I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2024. I start at Campo Ca on the boarder of Mexico and will walk north through CA, OR and WA to finish at the border of Canada.

Remember Roadrunner and Somewhere? They have mapped out a hike around the Shelby fire closed section. Their goal is a continuous footpath. If that is important to you, they may share the Gaia path with you. Their day 105 video madexon July 16th (give or take a day) was up east of the fire near Yrika. Either way... best wishes!! OH... and congrats on 1300. Almost halfway... amazing accomplishment.
Ranger, sorry we missed each other at Dicks Pass after camp. I escaped the mossies and then stopped for a long brekkie break as soon as they left me alone. Such a shame! I hope you have the most amazing adventure, what a journey!
I see those views and just sigh... beautiful. Your mileage is respectable, especially considering elevation and all. Hope the heat wave eases off! I am seeing temps around 107 up around Burney. Listen to your body. Also, I am tracking on a trail map, if you think it appropriate, could you either give the date of the videos, or list which trail days you are on in the title our comments? My current morning routine is to hike, bike , and/or kayak, then have some coffee while enjoying the pct through you and the guys, and Roadrunner ( aka hiking dancer) and her tramily (Bouji, Boss Bea and Bird Call, and sometimes Somewhere) All Y'all are amazing! Love the stories and the views. May I ask when you guys started and your average miles per day? I'll never do the entire pct (can't get away for that long in one stretch) but I do want to do some sections. Drinks on me if by chance our paths cross.
