The rear exhaust housings look like the damn Space Shuttle Main Engines! Also note worthy this is the only aircraft fast enough to get a missile lock on an SR71 Blackbird.
The MIG-25 with the gear down flies like a Buran shuttle, I'm guessing? Like the shuttle landing simulator aircraft? Anyways, great footage of the MIG-25 and from the Buran program.

Depuis quand ils ont peut de moyens ? (surtout à l'époque de la conception de cette avion) Puis bon il ne faut pas se leurrer cette avion est autre que dépassé aujourd'hui, un SAM ou un missile tirer depuis un avion moderne le rattrape sans problème.

Unfortunately the effort did cripple them economically, but i'm sure there is no lesson to be learned here. EDIT- well they tried, it burned up in orbit due to advanced Soviet electronics pointing the fire end of the rocket 180 degrees the wrong way, but it can happen to anyone (just ask NASA about Challenger and Columbia)

Не согласен с Вами. Буквы ВМ изначально никак с инициалами Мясищева не связаны. Самолет назывался 3М-Т (3М транспортный), но для "маскировки" цифру 3 закрасили в букву В по указанию ЗГТшников (защита гос.тайны). Уже потом появилась красивая легенда, что самолет назвали в честь конструктора.
