Learned guitar raking because of this song. One of those shows that came on later in the morning after cartoons. Lots of cute girls so the teenaged boys would watch. Wondered what happened to Amarilis? She made a few movies in the 90s including X-men: Generation X.
Let's appreciate all of us, the undiagnosed ADHD people in their 30's and 40's, all it needed was a tiny thread of thought, and we ended up here after not thinking about this mesmerizing song for 7 years
I miss hearing this song,i'd hear it when i came home from work! I would see one episode when i'd be home early! I wonder if anyone has tried making a rock version of this song! I LOVE IT!👊👍🤘🏼
Watching this movie hit hard in class as a middle school student who's going through struggles. It showed that no matter how different anyone is, they can still be friend and be good to each other, especially true to themselves. Loved it.
I'm a grad of the early 80's, however being a musician, songwriter and vocalist myself, I always liked this song. For the longest time I thought it was the two girls from the show who were doing the singing, then I found out that it's not them. The girl who is singing the song is Kathy Fisher. And she's not only doing the lead vocal, all the voices you hear in the background are also her as well. She's pretty awesome. However, she didn't write or arrange the song. That credit goes to Shuki Levy, Kussa Mahchi and Yuval Ron. Great song though.
It is said that this film has a black spell cast over it, and I feel that it extends into its soundtrack. For years I thought casually of it, until I began to study this piece. As a child it captivated me before I even saw the film; there was a pay-per-view ad on TV for it that featured this piece and I vaguely remembered it for years, recognizing it once again as I finally saw the film years later. I have been a musician all my life, in particular, a pianist. I have transcribed or arranged every song I wanted to learn to play for piano, except for one: this, Fantasia for Strings by Hanz Werner Henze. I went as far as to purchase the score for strings, and record the same notes they would play, but on piano. By some witchcraft, the piece sounds not at all the same, even with the same notes played. To date it is the most difficult piece I have ever tried to bring to life on piano. I often feel that some deep dark will within it refuses to be recreated. I return to it again and again to see if I have figured it out, but to no avail as of today
Whoever made this intro put a ton of heart into it. Which is why I'll forget it. Even twenty something years later. Almost thirty, the old man is getting old. lol
Pretty cool. The song definitely brings back some nostalgic feelings. I was infatuated with these girls as a teen because I thought they were so damn fine....especially the rebellious sister. Hahaa Also, I had no idea there was a longer version of this song....something we'll hear alot of time and time again. Thanks for sharing it!!!
