OK, my, now 38 yr old daughter, used to watch this cheesy show but. as much as I used to tease her about the show, THIS SONG ROCKS!!! Beautiful build and beautiful harmonies. I don't know who wrote or arranged it but itBRILLIANT!!!
Only reason the show got my attention was because of this theme song. Powerful girl band vibes from this song like that of the Bangles and the Go-Go’s. Not to mention it fits right in with the California beach lifestyle. Thank you for sharing it here.
When this came on Live and Kicking Saturday morning show on the BBC. I only watched the into just to hear the song. I switch over straight away when the song finished. I still have no idea what happened in the show.
I was sitting on the toilet at work when suddenly the chorus of this song popped into my head so I had to look it up. Never even watched the programme! Weird how these things happen. It was a good dump.
This was my jam when I was younger! I loved this show, loved this song. Brings back so many memories from a time when the world was a different place. Things seemed much more simple back then. Time flies.
@@CurvyAries I still keep my old Walkman, and some cassettes over there. I also remember the arcade games, they were amazing. I think I will try to build a time machine, like Doc and Marty, to travel back in time 'till 1998 hahaha :3
I still remember the lyrics...even the part where Kathy Fisher does that "EEEE-EEE-YEAH-EE-YEAHHHHH" like she dug it up from her pancreas. Ugh, I love this theme song!
there's something entrancing about this theme. I remember it use to come on when i was 11, and i wasn't into the show but somehow this theme still sticks with me to this day.
Whoever made this intro put a ton of heart into it. Which is why I'll forget it. Even twenty something years later. Almost thirty, the old man is getting old. lol
Reminds me of me and my sister fighting over the TV remote. She loved sweet valley high and I at the time was a ren and stimpy guy so the fights were epic........ Miss those years so much.
one thing that alway strikes me about shows like this from the early 90s is how much leftover 80s flavour hangs around. It came out around 1994, but honestly I don't think it would be too out of place in 1989. In fact, I could have sworn that this show was on air at the same time as Saved By The Bell--even though I believe Saved By the Bell ended a year previous...

Pretty cool. The song definitely brings back some nostalgic feelings. I was infatuated with these girls as a teen because I thought they were so damn fine....especially the rebellious sister. This show was for girls,i used to think it was rubbish,but i do get kinda nostalgic when i hear this song,reminds me of watching this with my sis in the mid 90s,the show itself has dated badly though
Learned guitar raking because of this song. One of those shows that came on later in the morning after cartoons. Lots of cute girls so the teenaged boys would watch. Wondered what happened to Amarilis? She made a few movies in the 90s including X-men: Generation X.
I'm a grad of the early 80's, however being a musician, songwriter and vocalist myself, I always liked this song. For the longest time I thought it was the two girls from the show who were doing the singing, then I found out that it's not them. The girl who is singing the song is Kathy Fisher. And she's not only doing the lead vocal, all the voices you hear in the background are also her as well. She's pretty awesome. However, she didn't write or arrange the song. That credit goes to Shuki Levy, Kussa Mahchi and Yuval Ron. Great song though.
I used to rush home from school, go to the toilet for my bob and then settle down to watch Sweet Valley High. Every day was the same. My childhood was something of a disappointment
