Where does one go to if they want to look at these cameras before buying? I am in the Toronto area and was shocked when I went to a local Best Buy and there was only 2 cameras on display. Even Henry's store don't much stock for customers to try.
You neglected to mention that with Canon’s EF to RF adapter you can use any Canon or third party EF lenses, so you have much more choice. Stating that you can only use Canon lenses on Canon mirrorless cameras is misleading.
Pls tell me about dynamic range.. now canon is open for third party lenses…and today sigma has released their first RF lens… In my opinion canon is user friendly… we can use less expensive cards… only problem I have faced is dynamic range … Sony and Nikon have better dynamic range…
Great information here. Do you know if it's possible to use different capacity memory cards? Maybe use a 256 gb card in slot one, and a 128 GB card in slot two?
Thank you so much! I’m trying to get into casual filmmaking and was considering the Sony A-6700 but I came across the Canon R-50 and it seems like a great entry camera for me.
Hi I have a question, there’s this sale going on right now in Canon Mexico and the deal is the Canon R50 + RF18-45 mm + RF 50 F1.8 STM + SD 32gb + extended warranty for 13,999 pesos which is about 750 dlls do you think is a good deal? Or should I buy things separately?
Sticking with my EOS 90D Sony is a handicap that I don't need. I like the canon EOS 90D do for many reasons. To me there are no pros and cons to this camera. The evf is never a plus for me I'm a welder. C log is not important shooting the news or other events. I still shoot with my EOD 80D still just use different glass to pull out the sharpness of the 24.2mp. Sticking to what love less AI. I went as far as using a cinematic lens just to remove the auto focus.
It seems like they both get the job done, and it's just personal preference. I would personally go with Canon because I like the ergonomics and quality.
I can say as someone who owned the t3 and the t1i and currently owns the r100 to me the r100 given it’s stripped down features is basically a mirrorless rebel camera in my opinion.
*I love my FX30 because I care more for Video then Photos. I've never owned a Cinema Level Camera entry level or not it's a Learning curve coming from a ZV-1 & a6400 and even my ZV-E10. But color is always subjective to everyone. Some people can't tell the difference between the (2) if you're using Program settings or Auto. I'm still learning color correction for my FX30 but it's still a learning, but I've learned if ya take your time no matter WHAT you get it'll be fine*
same sensor, so yes, In terms of iso performance . but Like the comment above me said , the r8 doesnt have ibis. SO it depends on if you need to do slow shutter photos. For video it should be fine
I wonder why so many reviewers review this camera with tiny lenses. Why not show photos with portrait lenses on this camera (such as 35, 50, 85, even 135)? Nice review. Considering adding this or the z6ii to my z6.
Why do you call it a beginner camera??? A college friend is a petite woman of 4'10" she's Asian. She is also a professional photographer who focuses on family and children's photography. She's been doing this for 15 years. When the RP was introduced she fell in love with the camera because it fit her small hands perfectly. Don't let the price or size brainwash you into believing that its an 'entry level' or 'beginner's' camera. Goes to show you how little this content provider knows about photography.
I would happily live with this camera, every "flaw" I can live with it. Who cares about: 1. Photo effects - Never heard about someone using it. 2. No USB in camera charging - Just use the battery charger. 3. No flip screen - Some high end cameras don't have those neither. 4. Low and short burst in RAW - Ok yeah a little bummer, but sitll. Some people don't get it. The main selling point for me is that you can get a new APSC body for $379 (RN in Amazon) with RF mount compatibility, which is a REAL bargain. The big bummer and deal breaker, is that this is a 1 dial body, meaning that you only have 1 dial to adjust the aperture and shutter. So if you want to learn photography (in manual mode), this is very uncomfortable since you will have to fiddle more to make adjustments on the fly. (I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA WHY RU-vidRS NEVER MENTION THIS!!!)
Great video, nice explaining. One thing I would consider to be really helpful for the audience, is timestamps, that would probably bring more people to your channel, not everybody has the patience to watch the entire video in order to get the part they're interested in. Great job!
Hi there Try your setting and that was the best video setting Unfortunately last week unexpectedly my videos start lagging very badly Any advice how to fix it , pls
Awesome stuff, thank you. Felt all the settings were a little overwhelming when I first got the camera, this was a massive help and better still, the pacing of your video was spot on!
