People are fed up with the misinformation and myths circulating in the hair industry. Ladosha Wright and Cheryl Morrow have created two podcasts to address various misconceptions, myths, and misinformation surrounding textured hair, particularly within the context of the Black hair care industry.
The first podcast, "The Dumbest Shit People Say About Black Hair," is the premiere platform where we discuss a wide range of topics related to textured hair. Our focus is on the truth and the infinite possibilities of caring for textured hair.
The second podcast, "Planet Pluto Pseudo: The Haircare Myth Busting Podcast," is specific to licensed professionals. It is also centered on consumer advocacy by addressing the unscientific and pseudoscientific information that exists within the barber and beauty profession. We are bold and deliberate as we separate fact from fiction.

Hi Ladies...I believe you stated that biracial should be maintained based on the characteristics it is made up of....what are the characteristics of biracial hair?
Thank you for watching. Typically once every two weeks after it cleansed a.d conditioned. Once pressed, the Hair should not revert. One may press the hair line or nape if it has reverted. But for the most part, a press and curl will last until it is washed out.
I wonder if Manes by mell (a Canadian curly hair licensed stylist with a great channel here on youtube) would be down to do a collab with y'all. 🤔 Definitely agree about not putting oil on the scalp. I think it's very poor wording to say that the straighter the hair gets, the less human it becomes. Humans are distinct and different from animals, no matter the curl pattern or lack thereof.
Girl, we have to be cousins. You remind me of all my Midwest family. I grew up in Utah, and we say “you guys.” I am so curious as to where you’re from. I stumbled onto one of your old RevAir videos, and I am so grateful.🫶🏾 Grief has caused the weirdest thing to happen. My hair is falling out, but only on one side. I literally have three times more hair on the right.🤬I think between scalp treatments and Chebe butter, I’ve seen a positive change. I am wondering if you have a flat iron recommendation and/or any products for brittle, fine, low-porosity 4A/B hair. I noticed you didn’t use a blow dry cream with your RevAir, but it is really helped me. Thank you!✨👸🏾✨
We just might be family! You never know. 🤷🏾♀️😉❤️ My family is from Memphis, Tenn. As for your hair, a virtual consultation would be best. Email me at ladoshaw@yahoo.com for a complimentary 30 minute consultation.
No diddy im buying this rev air from best buy. All im using is water and african shea butter. These dudes act too gay, i just wanted a simple review and this video is the one..
This was a very informative discussion 👏🏿 African Americans get attacked for our hair in so many ways. Some people even damage and lose hair because of bad practices and misinformation. It was good to clear up some misconceptions about how people are different. Hopefully, this will cause those in the hair care profession who come into contact with this information to approach it from research rather than from this chart that basically just seems to make up hair textures. Bottom line is when we "make up" information it's dangerous! Let's get scientifically literate 💯
Interesting discussion. If in 50+ years, as you say, black and brown folks are the main working force, what is the issue with those people being more conservative? If it's a numbers game, then why does the political arena have to be weighted one way or the other? Also, we need more viable votable options. 🤔
It's great to see a salon using this! The manufacturer doesnt go into much tips & tricks on using their product. The tutorials I've seen from RU-vidrs don't have a cosmology background but were helpful. That's where I learned the pumping motion. Thank you & God bless!
The length issue is really interesting! Native American men and boys were forced to cut their long hair back in the day. 🤔 Very dynamic discussion. Good points about being specific with the language.

When you place place plastic on top of the head, It draws moisture out/precipitation or traps body heat. For example, place plastic bag on your hand or cover your head with plastic and it will become moist, thus diluting whatever you put onto your hair. Because no condioners truly penetrate, is absorbed, or permeates through hair fibers that are NOT chemically altered, no plastic cap is needed. A slight residue will suffice to coat hair thus making the hair slick and combs will glide through when using any conditioner. Conditioners are really more for water. Think fabric softeners that soften water which softens clothes. But it's a hard sell telling consumers their conditioners are water softeners, 🤣😂🤣 especially on hair that is NOT chemically altered. They're just borrowing concepts from chemically altering hair onto hair that is not. 🤦🏽♀️ Long way of saying, ditch the plastic, nothing is happening on hair that is not chemically altered. We only use plastic caps in salons to keep chemicals OFF clothing and skin for a bathroom run or to keep powder lighteners from drying out (get it)! 😉 I hope that was helpful. ✌🏽️
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Politics scare some people and fires others engines. Voter engagement is the goal. There remains a lot of people who do not belive in voting or is not interested. 😳
17:36 I think a lot of people (democrats and boomers especially) automatically assume every young person or every black person is liberal. A lot of the times THEY will automatically bring up the topic assuming people agree and it gets messy. You got to be ready to handle that can of worms you're opening up. There are black people form California (edit. The Bay) who are very familiar with Kamala and do not agree with her being in office.
The host should cut to the chase. Finish your sentences faster. We really want to watch full length of the show but the long speeches and sidetracks are quite distracting.
I wish I had seen this video 2 years ago!!!! I have bought so many products and tried so many things to get this "wash-n-go" style. I kept thinking I was doing it wrong, but you said everything I was thinking! It's not for MY hair!!!!! Keep doing your thing! Hair Education is key! I'm glad I found your channel.
Thanks for your support! ✌🏾️ I'm glad to be of assistance. As a Cosmetologist and salon owner, I live empowerment, savings of time and money! KIS principle is my motto....keep it simple. 😊
This was a great episode. RIP Ms Heath. I'm not even in the industry but I remember her and the times Blu talked about! It's so important that as business owners rather in a salon of loft, that we understand the basics and fundamentals of business and branding! I know what to expect when I come to RDT no matter what stylist does my hair! And I know if nothing else, my scalp gone be clean!!!😂
Interesting discussion for sure. I agree, getting involved locally is where it's at. Just a shame you're locked into one or the other party at that level. 😔
