A straight up review of the Dyson Airstrait hair dryer.
The quest to ease the task of drying textured hair continues. This video captures my experience using the device in the hairsalon.

Oooooh! Thanks for doing this. I had my eye on it briefly but determined the results weren't better than the Revair.

I got chewed out for being biased towards the RevAir. Guilty 😫🤣 The RevAir makes PRACTICAL sense given what Afro Hair does as it dries. I know certain companies concepts of haircare tools, like Dyson's Air Strait are DELIBERATELY going after the Black dollars. Using the design of a flat iron to dry Afro Hair in small subsections....🥵🥵🥵I mean really? 🤣😂🤣🤣🤬🤬😡🤬 I wish companies WOULD STOP that. Disgruntled customers come to the Hair salon with shredded hair. The companies have no solution when peole attempt to force to make the too work. 🤬🥵🤬🥵 Ok...I'm done fussing. 🤣😂🤣🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ Thanks for watching. 👍

I appreciate this review. From what I've seen from other creators online, it works fairly well on loose curls, but only gives a blowout effect on tighter curls, and the amount of heat you have to use to even get that (people are following up the wet-to-dry setting with the dry setting) seems a bit excessive.

It has great potential, but as you can see in the video the notion of drying Afro Hair with NO tension....🥵🥵🥵That's why I showed the videos with the clothes....we know what happens when the attempt to iron heavily wrinkled clothes? 😳😵‍💫🤣🤣 Manufacturers trying to get them Black dollars. The blow dryer with the denman brush or the Willie Morrow comb attachment or the RevAir for me. That thing is the equivalent of AIR drying.🤣🤣Well you know how I feel about that especially if you you gone braid, roll, or straighten hair.......🥵🥵🥵🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Esther 🤜🏾💥🤛🏾

Just a FYI: The Dyson Airstrait is not a "traditional flat iron". It is a blow dryer/flat iron that was made to just stretch your hair. It is designed to go from wet to dry using just air. No hot plates. It is specifically to make a two- three step process in one product without causing any heat damage. The first step is to blow dry (wet mode) the roots, then proceed to stretch your hair (Dry mode with or without the boost feature), and lastly use the cool air as your final step. By no means is Dyson promoting this as a traditional flat iron. They do have a traditional flat iron if you want your hair bone straight. Of course, your prep is key. I have seen where the hair is sectioned into bantu knots before proceeding with the process and the results (braid out, twist out, flexi rods...) are great on dense, textured hair.

You just gave a very biased review. You did not actually show how the Dyson Airstrait works on an actual client's hair and you did not show vary degrees of heat or application of the tool. This was just a joke and another review for RevAir. Do better please.

Gotcha. I feel you. Admittingly, my review is most certainly biased. 😳 When I took that thing out the box, I hated it. 🤣😂🤣🤣 But I tried it any way. 😵‍💫 I didn't find it safe to actually show the demo on her hair because she had color treated and it was getting singed. I wasn't gonna put that on a video and she knock me upside my head.😳 And honestly, I didn't think it was gonna get that hot so fast. I had just highlighted her hair. So I opted not to show that. There will be NO demo with me using that on human hair, because I could see it was just that bad. If you look close at the mannequin hair and other videos, stretched fuzzy hair was the result. 🥵 Some people like that, rather they're gonna braid, straighten it, or not. I pointed out in the video, that's NEVER good. So, I used those fabric videos to show the correlations of what happens to fabrics' performance when they are not dried properly. My goal in all my videos is to show up close and personal the intricate phases of fabric manipulation. I want viewers to see how safe manipulating and altering textured hair fabrics can be using the right products, the right tools, and the right techniques. The Dyson Airstrait is the WRONG tool in my opinion. There are plenty of video reviews that love the Dyson better than the RevAir and the old school hair dryer. I can see why you said my video is baised. I'm for PRACTICAL and safe fabric manipulation. The RevAir and old school yellow bird with the Dr. Willie Morrow comb attachment are best for Afro hair. 👍🏾 That Dyson Airstrait will never reach the status and credibility of an high end styling tool. It will make it's way to the Flowbee automatic hair cutting machine Hall of Shame. 😐I couldn't find those Hairstylists on social media like you can with other celebrity endorsed tools. 😳 Most of their images of Afro hair are photo stock. If you have Adobe, you'll see those same images. I use them too! 🤣😂#guilty 😳😵‍💫😐 They get an E for effort, but I would never recommend that on Afro coily hair , especially if it's color treated. I appreciate your feedback. I'm fine with being biased. I just didn't like it.😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🫣
