I managed to convince my 80 year old grandma it was a peaceful boat ride where you go on a gentle journey to see some dinosaurs, but she ended up loving it anyway! The face she had on the drop was HILARIOUS!
I went on this ride so many times when I was a kid. We recently visited and as we were walking around, I was telling my 6 year old about this water ride that was in the dome. He would've loved it 😢
I put this video on full screen and I imagined myself on the ride. Words can't describe how nauseous I felt. I got chills when the song transitioned to Enter Sandman and that first drop looked terrifying. No way I'm gonna go on this ride in real life...
Splash Mountain was my favorite ride at Disneyland as a kid, it was one I would want to do every time we went, and seeing it gone in America makes me kinda upset,So Let’s prey hopping this will be the last operating Splash Mountain
When I tried the ride, I introduced my dad to everyone inside it. He also knew I also speak Egyptian and Egyptian Arabic, while I read from the Book of the Dead, resurrecting Imhotep, who heard me speak it. When I return to Universal Studios Hollywood, I will ride this again. I liked it very much, since my secret friends are there. (Imhotep, his priests, and his servants).
This, in my opinion, is the best ride Disney has ever made. The story is really easy to follow here compared to the other Splash Mountains and the lighting and scenery here are arguably better. The audio mixing is perfect and important lines are not drowned out by the music. The outdoor sightlines are flawless; you only see Frontierland and there are many references to the lore of Critter Country. The queue also expands the lore of the area further and has lots of interesting things to see. I personally think it's only rivaled by Journey to the Center of the Earth at DisneySea, the original Space Mountain De la Terre a la Lune in Paris, Anaheim Pirates, and Horizons.
I never went on splash mountain when I was there in 2013 for Disneyland (California anyway). I was too scared honestly, but I love the music on that attraction.
