21 years at my last job. The Pres was always saying his door was always open and asking for constructive feedback. When he got it he ignored it, so why bother.
"I'm sorry that there's not more that we could have done" is so diengenuous. There is always more that could have been done. That's just an unwillingness to take accountability
I loved being the sales lead. Most customers were amazing and were open to being helped. Then there were the difficult ones. I am fortunate to be good with words and extremely hard to intimidate hence I became the point for escalations (always remained professional). Assholes provided me with great stories to tell later 😂.
Respecting yourself while not being disrespectful is the best way to handle this. The response from the “employee” is perfect in this regard. The “manager” is being entitled, demeaning, and very manipulative. This is the kind of place you need to walk away from to keep your sanity.
There was a airline, Ryanair, here in Europe which did not allow people to book a seat in advance. So people were litterally running for the best seats. It was really horrible... and with small kids quite dramatic. So I instrucred my kids to scream maaaaaaammaaaaa in case we did not get adjacent seats. They never wanted to do it though 😂
I took bereavement when my mother passed. Unpaid. No benefits. She died the day b4 Easter 2015. They forced me to work MOTHER'S DAY. I'm so glad the place caught fire years after I walked out. Now it's a veterinary clinic. Much better. 😊❤
The problem with a 2nd job is when people abuse their employers by falling short on tasks, always running late, and just not being able to fulfill both positions. If you can work both and do both successfully, great - but also not, because you're worth more :)
I’m beginning to understand why things didn’t go well for Veronika at her last job lol Her interview questions are totally valid things to ask, but goodness she is just so petty, condescending, and combative. She’s probably that one employee people hate, yet she thinks everyone else is the problem.
Sorry, but a lot here are going to oversimplify the problem. "You had the same opportunity i did" might not be the case. In an emergency you might need to book late, then paying for advanced seat selection could still end up separated. A child of 2 years can sit alone, but it shouldn't. So first look on the circumstances if you want to be left alone. Otherwise you might just end up getting moved by the flight attendant.
You want me to do manager work for 90 days, without giving me manager pay, and then give the manager position to someone else. Yeah, that makes sense. The answer is no.
Don't feel sorry for the head honcho! She should be way more proactive in finding out what's happening on the workfloor so if the problem is this big and she STILL doesn't have a clue, she is not been doing her job for a loooooong time already.

I went out to a nice upscale restaurant with my 4 overbearing menopausal co-workers. I ordered scallop medallions over linguini pasta. Got my plate and my very wonderful dog faced over tanned snake boss said, "Oh, they look so good!!! I'll just steal one." Other 3 bitches started taking "their" scallop and I was left with none. True story. Women can walk all over you. Karma: leather face filed bankruptcy because she stole over $300,000 from our company and couldn't pay it back. It was just scallops she was stealing.
