Servers don’t make the rules. Arguing with them is pointless and will only get you tossed out of the building by the manager. If you as a customer don’t like the rules, don’t ask for the promo or just don’t go to that restaurant at all. Plain and simple.

For anyone who thinks this is false advertising, as long as the promotion advertisement displays the conditions of the promo, as in this case, “must purchase another item” to activate said promo, then all is legal. Promos like this are targeting both the stoner crowd and groups of college guys who need to eat a large amount of food and want to drink a lot as well and don’t have a lot of money.

If the promo is advertised as in restaurant only and requiring purchase of another item(which is most likely would be), then it is not false advertising. No need to be a Karen just because you didn't read the terms.
