I love how this show puts stuff from all the games in the story, even the broken water chip from Fallout 1 or Shady Sands which you can help become the NCR through your actions through Fallout 1 and 2, there is the Prydwen class airship and then the ending is in New Vegas? Epic! And the music is so iconic, I can't wait for season 2. 39:32 Ask the overseer of Vault 4, he does have pencils.

I do too! I love that they've encorporated all the games and lore from the whole universe into it! I didn't realize Shady Sands was in Fallout 1! I haven't played that one! Actually, I'm ex law enforcement from the great state of Ohio! The reason I said that in my reaction is because there are new laws in place preventing prosecution of someone who overdoses and someone who calls 911 for the overdose. Fun fact! Buuut I also concede that were looking in a time warp, amd back in the 90s, they absolutely would've prosecuted them for that, so that was my mistake! Thank you a TON for the comment and tuning in!

There is always an Android on every space mission that the company sends out. Ash didn’t know about the alien it until they discovered it. He was communicating with Mother in private and then the company that handles Mother changed his directive. His new task was to bring back the life form at all cost. Crew Expendable.
@kevsclassicmovies
@kevsclassicmovies 5 дней назад
So they send one on every single mission? Do the people not typically know who the android is then? I'm genuinely curious :) I loved diving into this movie with the different lore! I'm even more curious at why they wanted the lifeforms so bad!! Thank you so much for the comment and tuning in!!
@RR64434
@RR64434 5 дней назад
You’re welcome. I think it becomes clearer in future movies but I think somehow the Defense Department knew about the signal beforehand but didn’t necessarily know what the result of the signal would lead to and that is why they placed an Android on board without the knowledge of the crew. This is my favorite movie of all time and thank you for reacting to it and loving it. I saw it when I was 9 years old and the realism of what could conceivably happen if the human race stumbled upon a life form left an indelible mark on me. I loved Star Wars but it was much more fantastical than this Movie. The grittiness of the cinematography, the theme and the writing makes this movie stand the test of time.

@@kevsclassicmovies In the words of Hank Mclean 'See what this place does to people'. I've wondered about Moldaver as well, apparently the head of the NCR but in season 1, her and the other infiltrators act like Raiders. I know she has no love for Vault-tec, but to massacre the innocent population of Vault 33. I guess the over-the-top violence on the citizens of the vault can be viewed as revenge to what Hank did to Shady Sands. Don't get me wrong, I love this show and can't wait for season 2. But the one plot hole I want fixed is Moldaver's survival to 2296. Did she bribe a spot into Vault 31? She's a very smart person, did she build her own cryo-pod? I didn't see her name in the registry at Vault 111 near Sanctuary Hills. Is she a... Synth?

There were also a series of 4 made for TV movies. I have them on DVD, but I've yet to watch those. I heard they're good though. And believe it or not, there were 2 cartoons made of Robocop. A few things, I don’t blame anyone for not thinking about it because they don’t mention it again, but the alien has acid blood. That’s why they don’t kill it when it first emerges. The acid would eat right through the floor and they’d all die. You wondered why Mother allowed Ripley to start the self destruct. The ship isn’t fully automated, which explains why there’s a crew at all. I also don’t think anyone would be comfortable with the self destruct being under the control of the main AI. You mentioned at one point that the people who make movies don’t put in the kind of effort they used to… as in this movie and like when Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen spent hours and hours a day working on lightsaber battles-one of the things that made those look so realistic. That opinion is (perhaps partly) due to the fact that you have not been exposed to the amount of research/training that goes into making other movies. There are documentaries online (and as movie pack extras) that show Keanu Reeves doing all of his combat training for the Matrix and John Wick series, all of the men from 300 doing their combat/exercise routines, and of course, Tom Cruise who trains non-stop to do 95% of his own stunts (including aeronautics, motorcycling, car driving, skydiving, rock climbing, etc). Every industry-specific movie also has a research consultant that advises them on aspects of the script/action/gadgetry. How well any of these aspects is fleshed out is noticeable/debatable, but they *do* in fact put the work in. Good reaction, BTW.

Star WArs came in 1977. In 1978 we already got 3 low budget copies of Star Wars. I kinda liked them but still. Creators of "Alien" wanted to show another side of space, not that bright/colorful like in Star Wars and I LOVE it. Special effects in Alien look much more realistic. The characters look real. I adore this film

What were the other low budget copies?! The only one I can think of is Space Balls! I love the darker sci fi aura of Alien! Indefinitely agree with the characters and story feeling more believable and realistic! I love checking these movies out I've never seen before!
