Totally agree with the iPad route. Need to find a good quality tread that doesn’t need a subscription but is equipped with solid motors

I bought an X22i 4 years ago during the pandemic. In 4 years, I have logged almost 1000 hours on it and 3000 miles without a single issue. Still looks, and runs like it's brand new. Quite a different experience from what's seen in this video, and what some of the comments here say. I think the vast majority of people have a good experience with their purchase, and of course it's the few that have bad experiences that are hell bent on making videos like this. Such is the case with all products out there.

The best recommendation is to contact a treadmill repair company. These companies do not have a bias to certain brands. They work on all of them. Some of them even sell equipment. I found a company in the East Bay called Fix Fitness. They came out and assessed my treadmill and provided a recommendation. Ended up buying a refurbished commercial treadmill from them that was taken out of a gym. They delivered it to me for free and disposed of my old machine for free. Couldn’t be happier. By the way, all the treadmills you see advertised online are consumer garbage. They are made to break after a couple years. You won’t find a treadmill in a gym advertised all over Amazon and google. The treadmills you see in the local gym are built to last.

Thank you for your help! I had no idea it was this easy to change out. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. I had so many arguments with the company to come out and fix it under warranty. They sent the part but couldn't find a person in my area to come and service the machine ! So disappointed with this machine. I love this machine, but it is always breaking. The company doesn't care about solving your problems. Very disappointed considering the high price tag of buying this treadmill!

Nordic Trac doesn't have in house techs they out source the work to local repair companies and most of them were backed up with commercial gym repairs.

Spent 2 hours troubleshooting with them. Fianlly agreed to ship a new computer motherboard and console under warranty. Yikes!!! Almost 3hrs on the phone with them.

Nordictrack is a garbage company. My S22i bike is going to need its second control board in 15 months. Yup and this one isn't under warranty. I'm gonna get a Zwift trainer instead. I'll never buy Nordictrack again!

Gotta agree. Mine just blew out today (not sure what the problem is but it makes horrible noise and vibrations all the time). Apparently (and i run pretty fast) you can't adjust how much it bounces up and down which is really annoying sometimes. The side of the belt simply became frayed and uneven and chipped away. Not to mention those workout videos on the screen cost an extra subscription fee to activate (I never use them because I already paid an arm and a leg for this overrated piece of junk). Customer service is also horrible and very hard to get a hold of.

X32i has been a disaster as well. Many problems, mostly to do with their software. No way I’d buy another Nordictrack product

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING NORDIC TRACK!!!! I watched all your videos ... unfortunately after buying the X22i. It is, without a doubt, a giant steaming POS. Within two months mine died. I went to power it on and it kept tripping the circuit breaker. I tried a different outlet and it started arcing... Customer service insisted I remove the hood and plug it in to troubleshoot. I refused to get electricuted... so NO! They would not authorize a tech support visit but would be happy for me to commit to paying them more money to get service that should be covered under the extended warranty. Best advice from reading comments on several complaint videos on Nordic Track --- Research companies that refurbish commercial treadmill. Find a reliable one and pay signicantly less for a used but more reliable treadmill. --- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING NORDIC TRACK!!!!

Wow! Wish I found this a 6 weeks ago…I just bought a brand new one and it’s been a disaster! It’s not working out of the gate-I’ve not gone 1-tenth of a mile. White glove deliveries didn’t even plug it in, they wouldn’t wait for us to get back in town to deliver so my house sitter took the delivery, they refused to remove the old treadmill even though I paid for it and Now I find out there are no service repair persons in my location so I have to fix myself or return it for the fees you discussed and they won’t send a new one since there isn’t any service provider in my area, the person on the phone said the sales team should’ve never sold it to me because of that-and yet, here I am stuck with a $3200 machine 🤦🏻‍♀️ they have refunded my extended warranty, gave me $160 credit and are sending me parts! This is how the are rectifying the issues…insane! DO NOT BUY I plan to make a BBB report.

Avoid nordicktrack. Really expensive and low quality. Our barely used treadmill incline motor stopped working in 18 months

However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

I’ve had mine for only 7 months and am going threw so many problems. There is a class action lawsuit against IFIT I’m gonna look into this lawsuit because at the point I just want my money back.

I wish I had seen this video and the comments before I purchased my incline trainer x32i a little over a year ago. My treadmill stops working abruptly and without warning after you have been on it for longer than about 30 minutes. Loved it before this but now hate it because of all the money I spent to purchase it. I even bought the super duper extended warranty - I reached out to I fit and icon about three weeks ago, and still no resolution, just the run around and the buck being passed to the next person. Totally awful no real customer service, but unfortunately, that seems to be the norm these days. I will definitely avoid purchasing exercise equipment online in the future. The frustration and feeling like you’ve been ripped off is just not worth it if something goes wrong. I have been a NordicTrack customer for over 30 years, but clearly would never buy from them again.

Many clients want their machine to work without doing any maintenance, then they complain that the machine does not work properly, they NEVER lubricate their machines, I as an exercise machine technician see a lot of irregularities in customers with their machines, they also want to be attended to As if they were going to buy a gallon of milk at the corner store, if you had a service guarantee, why didn't you ask for it? or you would have just hired a technician, we are in southern California, and for what you did, we only charged $120 as the saying goes, They drown in a glass of water, Happy day. :)

Having issues as well.. it disconnect mid workout.. and often doesn’t want to connect at all… not a WiFi issue as all other products in the home work without a glitch… I don’t get companies that just ignore major issues.. you’re killing your reputation!

Just got mine and the white glove delivery broke parts while installing and no tech available to come fix it. Was told it would be $800 to return with all the fees - gonna try to dispute the charge and get a refund because this is ridiculous

Excellent advice! I ordered the newest model and it’s been a nightmare! One if the foundation screws could not be installed, they also sent me the wrong kit to use for initial set up. They sent technicians twice to work o on it. The belt only intermittently works and they are trying to blame it on me. I haven’t even used it more than twice in the five months that I’ve had it (because it could be assembled properly). I told them to pick it up and they won’t. Also says I would have warranty options after purchase but now they say there is no warranty available! NEVER BUY A NORDIC TRACK!! thanks for spreading the word. I will do the same!

I just bought the X32i. It looks lovely. However the Incline doesn't work at all. The treadmill belt doesn't go round and the screen is damaged. Apart from that all good. Well its going back after they said it could take up to a month to replace it with a new one. No Thanks. Just come and fetch it. Waiting for confirmation of pick up.

Do not buy a Nordic track, peloton, or echelon!!!!!! Buy REAL commercial brands that make home equipment like, Precor, matrix and spirit!!!!!

The problem with commercial brands is that they cost 10-15k, and you need to spend another 5K for an electrician to redo the wiring in the house since they require a 20 amp outlet. I agree, commercial equipment is always better, but not economically practical for most people.

I find it insane how Nordictrack claims to give you a "parts AND labor warranty" but seems to only cover parts. How exactly do they get away with this? You can't give a labor warranty and expect the customer to be the laborer. Same thing happened to me with my 22i bike.

They simply blame it on the 3rd party service technicians for not being available. If you also have one of the fancy consoles that connects wirelessly to the internet… guess who else can connect to your machine over the internet? Its no coincidence that your machine is broken right after your warranty expires 😮

Bought ours 7 months ago, took 90 days for us to receive it. Worked for 60 days off and on, it is in our basement and the wifi signal wasn't great and I couldn't make it work without a wifi connection. Fixed that problem, worked for another 30 days and now the screen says I should be moving but it isn't. Customer service requires you to quit your job and put in a 40hr hour week to get a hold of, get a response, and get the problem fixed. DON"T BUY A NORDITRACK! CRAP PRODUCT, CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Same x22i model.

I brought a NordicTrack Commercial Treadmill about 10 years ago. They send parts for me to install, I didn't mind replacing parts myself even during onsite warranty. Other times they also send a service person to do the repairs under warranty. The good thing buying from Costco is they tack it back anytime but I'm not going to carry that heavy machine onto my truck. One caution, don't put the thing so close to the wall. Allow at least 3' or whatever is recommended else you end up as grind meat in case you fall.

Awesome job Jack. I have an ancient X7i, and a long time ago they left me a motor after another repair. I finally needed to put it in like 10 months ago and now I'm finally getting psyched and ready to replace it. There are a lot more parts to take out to even see my motor. I was tempted to just call Icon (up the road a ways from home) and have them do it. I'll let you know maybe how it goes. Thanks for your video.

Wish I would’ve seen this video a year ago when I bought mine. Exact same model. Ours worked for 4 months prior to messing up consistently. On the phone and multiple emails with Nordic Track and iFIT for hours. 6 months later I am installing my second piece of equipment the motor controller and hopefully this time it works. Don’t buy Nordic Track!!
