This is a tech channel that lately is focusing on photography. Some new stuff as well as a lot of "old" forgotten cameras. "Modern vintage". I always try to keep the budget low and the quality high. Even though I review cameras its more about the image making than the numbers. The gear is pretty much just an excuse to talk about photography, the process of creating and show of photos.
During 2022 I was partly an ambassador for Pixii cameras. I wasn't employed by them and received no financial payment. But I should be considered biased when it comes to that brand in particular :)
I don’t even know what 3D pop means, but….. in certain shots, the 35T lens just makes subjects look almost visceral (hey there’s a word not yet used on YT camera reviews). A couple of my own prints I feel I could reach in and grab something in the pic, is that 3D pop? The 35T lens is exceptional.
Ho yes the D850 is by far one of the best DSLR if not the best. I’m still working with DSLR such as the D6, the Df and the D3X… It’s so good to look threw a real viewfinder Bus I also like my L mount Hybrid system for the amazing quality of the Leica SL lenses
I am not sure that DSLR's rule in 2024, and I say that as someone with a D850, which is a great camera, which I use regularly. Speaking to a couple of friends, who are well known professional photographers, the biggest thing they agreed about when they first bought their Canon R5, after using the Canon 5Dmk4, was it eye AF made their lives just a little bit easier, and for me that is the advantage of mirrorless. Mirrorless has come of age, with cameras like the 5D and Z8, have matured the point where the vast majority of issues, that mirrorless cameras had in 2018/19, are no longer problems. Now, I am not suggesting DSLR's are bad. I am sure I will still be using my D850, for some time to come, but that is only because I have 20+ DSLR lenses, and even then, I use most of my manual focus Zeiss lenses with a Panasonic S1R, because manual focusing with that is so much better than the D850.
Great review..... Put the Sigma 45mm f2.8 DG DN on your Leica CL and you have a decent Q3 43 for minimal cost. I've been using my CL/Sigma 45 this way for quite some time. It's a lot of fun, Leica Q for a fraction of the cost. Love it!
