This channel is dedicated to leather work and Greenwood working. Full video every other week, #shorts on Fridays.
Here you will find “5 Tool Tuesday”. Each episode is intended as a crash course on a set of 5 tools that center around leather craft. Future episodes will include carving tools and various other things that I use in my shop. Don’t forget to watch each episode to the end, where I will give you a bonus tool, for free!
Here you will also find "One Tool Wednesday". This is a "deep dive" into one specific tool. Usually something that I have either had for a long time, or that I love, or have been really excited to get! Woodworking and leather tools, reviews etc.
Last but not least you will find #shorts. These are short 30 second to 1 minute videos set to cool music, filmed in vertical format, showing snippets of what I am working on.
Subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications so you don’t miss an episode! New Videos each week.
Just bought this beauty a couple of weeks ago, and I really like it. If anything, it works wonders on stress relief / anger management ;-) Great review 👍
Thank you I was confused. While using it, it felt Ave performed much better as a Push knife and I was starting to believe there was something wrong with my technique.
most people say you cant beat a mora and a saw i say green river knife and a estwng camp hatchet nad youre golden pony boy the blade son most saws are disposible
You buy a tool and it last for 30 years and still going through heavy use is all the advertising a tool needs. I work industrial maintenance and I’ve got tools coming up on that mark. Something last that long and you know you made a good buy.
man with all respect but that rivets means nothing to a forged blade, you never see how much you can beat an axe head in a metal that is not forged??? the biggest issue it is that can pass throu leather but i never saw an axe from Gransfors that had that problem..they are very decent..
Not trying to 1 up you but I got the smaller model in 1967 still got it I use it constantly around the ranch to this day. Re stitched the sheath many times love it. I have the same model as your but like the smaller 1 best
I may be wrong but on the Gransfors website they write that a lefthand axe has e right bevel, so your axe is for a right handed carver right? The grinder side is against the wood to prevent digging to deep in the wood. I have the same axe as right handed carver and have a left grinded bevel like you have with chisels. My question to you is what type of drill bit do you think works the best? I just found your site and am impressed with your various skills. My Dremel Work Station arrived yesterday and I will be setting aside all of my hole punching tools. I am an older gentleman who is visually impaired and I think that this new setup is going to make my leather work much more enjoyable . A new subscriber by the way. Peace.
Looks like a dremel and "workstation", a small desktop drill press that fits a dremel essentially, would work well for all of these uses and would be cheaper and take up much less space than a full size drill press. I'd probably go with that or a similar alternative. About the same price and a cheaper bench drill press but more versitile with the downside of not being suitable for tougher materials.
My 'work station' arrived yesterday and I am excited! I am visually impaired, and old and I think this will be the ticket and will eliminate hours of trying to punch out holes. I just found Ira's site and I think I will ask him what type of drill bit would work the best. All the best to you and yours as this holiday season gets underway. Peace.
My dad bought me one when I was 12 I believe and the other day he asked me how glad I was to have that thing and it has been a faithful companion to say the least
