The cockatoo is not "attacking" the cat. It's just playing with it to illicate a reaction. Cockatoos are highly intelligent and often behave like that.
The cat know that it doesn't come to a fight. If he move, then the cockatoo fly away. The cockatoo is scared of the cat, because in an attack, cats are swift. The cat would win.
I personally find it amazing how patient and tolerant the cat is. The cat just lays there and ignores the cockatoo like it’s thinking, “If I ignore it long enough, it will go away.”
All those who think Cockys are so cute, you haven't seen what a flock of them do to trees and crops. Total destruction, no wonder farmers hate the bastards. Try sleeping when the arseholes start their bloody racket. Cute my arse!
I used to have a cat and I’m fairly sure when I got her, she’d been an indoor cat. We had two crows that lived somewhere in my yard. They used to dive bomb my little kitty. She didn’t know what to do. Then my other cat, this big Norwegian Forest cat taught her how to hunt birds. Shortly after Heckle and Jeckle seemed to have moved on, then the yard became a no fly zone. There weren’t any birds in my yard besides the quail. For some odd reason there seemed to be a treaty between the quail and the cats. It’s either that, or the cats figure no self respecting feline would go after a bird that’s walking. Every day at 4pm all the quails would come out and March across my yard and then go up in some trees and put on a concert. The cats never bothered them.
Sulfur crested cockatoos are native birds in Australia. You can see an Australian magpie in the background. Domestic cats are mass murderers in Australia. Cockie was doing his/her small part in retribution. Cats are vermin in Australia. Should never be allowed outside unless on a leash.
you can tell the parrot is thinking what to do, should i just jump from high up on him? he knows that may be dangerous and he could get beat up lol... so je does the safe and smart thing and sneaks up 😂
Poor kitty looks like he knows they mock him and knows that if he reacts too much they will really get a kick out of his frustration. It's called teasing!
